I've never slagged off Rodgers but enough is enough the man is an absolute spiv.

2-0 down and he brings on Lucas. We have to score at least 2 at home

Gash again, cant score cant defend.

We are out as they will score at Anfield and we dont score enough
to get through.

BR had started to field our strongest 11 till Sturridge got injured. The sooner we get back to that the better. I have no idea what the reasons are but too many in the squad are being found wanting. Should be a good night next week.

Zenit is a good team, but they are on a winter break and havent played since 10th of december.
We made it easy for them with our weak midfield and a defense that kept on backing up towards goal at every opportunity.

the strike itself was a corker but with 2 holding mids he was still allowed to walk in and set it up, that and skyrtel being too slow to close him down.
the second was poor from enrique to allow the cross and johnson was too slow tracking back leaving us exposed.
its that persistence in flogging that system that leaves us exposed at the back over and over again

I think Skrtel stood off too far on the first one. Great shot but he should have been closed down

their first was a wonder strike but our early season habit of conceding 2 goals (or more) a game seems to be back again.
we conceded 2 against united, 3 against oldham, 2 against arsenal, 2 against city, 2 against west brom and now 2 again tonight.
maybe we over rate our defenders

I remember saying I would judge Rodgers at Christmas and got slated. Now It's Feb and it ain't working and I'll wager anybody that it will NEVER work under Rodgers never mind all that give him time b.ullshit

Rodgers Tactics and Subs were questionable ,but you got to ask yourself ,5 ,FIVE ,clear one on one chances ,4 by your best striker and Zero result?? This is inexcusable.

With that said the weakest player on the field ,was Gerrard ,I just can't believe what has become of our captain...So Sad...With the poor performance ,poor passing one can live ,but where is his passion? his leadership ? His trademark completely gone ,And I don't care he was played a deeper position ,his attitude is as of someone who just doesn't care anymore ,as if he lost belief in himself or in the team.

We never closed down their attackers at all before they were inside the box. We just kept backing up towards our goal. This seems to be a "tactic" and not skrtels fault.

good point, if they score 1 goal at anfield we`d need to score 4
not only have we got to score at least 2 goals next week to even take it to penalties we have got to keep a clean sheet at the other end too.
as you say the way we are defending at the moment thats a big ask.

I think Rodgers deserve another year at least but tactics can bring you just as far ,we are still missing the talent on the field ,especially on defense and that one solid player on midfield (Past Gerrard?).

he plays every minute of every game for us and is probably feeling the effects of that.
it was only a couple of weeks ago that he was magnificent for us and reminiscent of the stevie of old. at his age its expected that he has a few bad games here and there but the big worry is that without him we are actually worse.
