Difficult to work out how we are going to setup but Kenny is taking a gamble with that 11. Carragher and Coates looked awful against Oldham. I’m assuming where playing a wing back system.

Or Carragher might play in midfield?

I think its 3 at the back and 2 wing backs.

You tend not to play wingers when you use wing back so the inclusion of Downing may mean we line up with a more traditional 4 at the back. Unless we line up like this:

                         Reina

            Coates   Skrtel   Carragher
Johnson                                       Enrique
     
            Hendo   Gerrard   Adam

                 Downing
                               Kuyt

Coates ? FFS !

Against Stoke you'd expect your Maxis and Bellamys to come in and outplay them and carve out chances. Playing to stop them from scoring when we're at home and desperately need the 3 points is not the way forward imo. We've already lost plenty of points drawing and losing against sht sides.

Only positive from that lineup is Carroll on the bench but then again if we are going for the direct style it might have been a good idea to have him in there.

Bad lineup. Not sure what Kenny is thinking but it has nothing to do with Football. (Dressing room politics?).
