Why are Red star also called C Zvezda??

Anyhow must win game after the Napoli loss. Being at home in a nice European evening at Anfield i think we should beat these lot convincingly.

For one thing, Serbia isn't a communist state anymore so that probably gets rid of the red star but I don't know where the rest comes from.

We can't afford any mistakes against these after the loss to Napoli. Two wins and lots of goals to kick start our attack

Red Star translates to Crvena Zvezda in Serbian.

Anyway, I'd like to see a mixed starting 11 for this one, rest a few if possible:

  TAA    Lovren    VVD    Moreno

       Fabinho    Wijnaldum

             Shaqiri

    Salah   Sturridge   Firmino


This team should be good enough to beat these. Lallana should get a few minutes as well.

A good win and a few goals will do tonight.
After the Loss to Napoli, which has thrown the group wide open, no mistakes are allowed tonight.

I'm old enough to recall watching their 1991 final v Marseille one of the most boring matches ever. Red Star had 11 players hanging from the crossbar and the team bus parked in front, then won on penalties.

We should win really but not having seen anything of Red Star recently its difficult to be over confident, they will play with great pride and passion that's a guarantee.

Perhaps a good time to find the shooting boots and rack up a few goals, some of that clinical end product missing this season.

I really like the look of that line- up.  Seems like its going to be a very attacking approach to the game.

Also good to see Gomez + VVD as the centre back pairing.
