Liverpool Football Club - Games

Great opportunity for us to close the gap to 3 points and pile on the pressure.

I also think we can build up our goal difference.

Leeds Utd can't defend for *****, and I think our forwards will have a field day.

I know we had a bit of a scare against Norwich but I'd want us to rest a few players again considering we have the League Cup final against Chelsea on the weekend. It's not always smooth sailing when we rotate even against the lesser sides but it's necessary. I'd rest Hendo, Thiago again, one or both fullbacks again, and give 45 minutes to both Salah and Mane. No reason to rest Matip as I'd likd Konate to start in the final. I'd go with something like this:

             Alisson

  Trent   Matip   Virgil   Tsimikas

             Fabinho
        Elliot     Keita

     Salah    Origi    Diaz

This is a fantastic opportunity and one that we simply cannot afford to mess up.

At week 21 which wasn’t that long ago City had an 11 point lead. We did however have a game in hand. So basically they had a genuine 8 point lead. I think at that stage we feared the worst without throwing the towel in. The team have shown an incredible level of determination and whilst City fans believed it was just a case of how many points they would win (buy) the league by Klopp and the team had very different ideas.

City  had enjoyed a very long run without dropping points and logically that was not going to continue for ever.Their confidence has taken a blow over the last few weeks and they will begin to feel the pressure especially if we take all 3 points against Leeds in week 25.Last season we were in 7th place and 19 points behind City in week 25 !! We never really recovered from a disastrous run of losses at home scraping 3rd place and finishing 17 points behind City. Who knows what Everton and United will do against City during the next few weeks. One thing is for certain it’s going to be exciting !!

Leeds will always raise their game against us, we need to go for the kill from the off, full first team.  We can't drop a single point for the rest of the season so can't play second stream lads who can't score the vital first goal. Keita and Ox are finished unless as subs when we're already 2-0 up.

Come on Reds, lets send Leeds back to the Championship!

They raised their game on Sunday against Manure and left all sorts of gaps at the back.

I think they've shipped in 10 goals in their last 3 matches. I think Diaz will rip them a new one.

Trent, Robertson, Fabinho, and Thiago, should all come back in for this one. We tend to protect Matip so Konate might come in for him. With Jota and Firmino out it wouldn't surprise me if Origi or Minamino start this one instead of Diaz or Mane.

We've got an awesome chance to put pressure on City. Difficult task to keep maintaining 100% from now till end but that is what we are up against.

Leeds can play like headle chickens at times so I'd hope we can rack up a score and build our GD.

Thiago is our game changer, I'd love to rotate and save him for the final but I feel we need him a lot during this run.

I'd love it if we keep winning and City have another few stumbles prior to our match vs them.

I'm sure the lads will be fired up for this realising we're right on City's shirt tails.

The game isn't being shown live so grateful if you could post streams as soon as you find them. Likewise I'll be looking.

Thanks

Elliot not even on the bench. I know he struggled a bit against Inter but that was a big game, I expected he'd be among the subs at least in games like this one.

EDIT: I had forgotten his injury was against Leeds actually. That must be the reason why he isn't involved.
