Liverpool vs Arsenal Sun 27th 4pm

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby redshade » Thu Aug 24, 2017 10:10 pm

Games against the gunners never let the neutral down, goals, entertainment  galore.
Both teams can attack but are vulnerable at the back. I'm confident we will win this, both defenses are weak however we will have too much ammunition for them to handle.
Certain to concede though so expect a big scoring game.

3-2 to us.

Strangely confident about this after putting 4 past Hoffenheim. Arsenal don't usually start strongly so I hope we capitalise.

3-1

Apparently Alexis maybe back for this one. His one player i do fear when we play against Arsenal. I hope he does not make it back in time.

I think we will thrash these 5-1. Firmino x2, can, mane x2

I'm not confident with out defense and Arsenal have got a strong attack like ours. At times they can blow away teams with their quick attack.
If Alexis is back imagine how strong they will be upfront. I could see us conceding a few goals.

This can go either way. We probably have a bit more going forward on current form than they do but it ultimately comes down to whether one side can defend well on the day or not.

Two leaky defences with potent attacks. Arsenal have Sanchez and Kocielny back, which is a major boost for them. I think home advantage will see us through though. 2-1 to us

I'm not confident either, by the sounds of it Arsenal are going to have a full strength side out tomorrow whilst we are going to be missing the lynchpin of our team.
Getting past the likes of Crystal Palace and Hoffenheim without Coutinho is one thing but these big head to head clashes against our top 4 rivals are a different kettle of fish altogether.
We are probably due a loss against one of the big teams anyway because our recent record against them has been fantastic, the law of averages alone suggests that that can't continue forever.
What was it last season? 12 games against United, City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Everton and we didn't lose a single one of them home or away? That's title winning form tbh, pity we didn't make the most of it.

Have a feeling we will play tight at the back with all three CM's playing deep... it wont look very good. And either we'l score on thee counter and win 1-0 or they break through and theyll win and we'll be complaining what a bad performance and the 3 stooges in the middle shiuld be upgraded...

Mignolet dropped for today's game, let's hope Loris can Karius through to a win

I think it's time Karius had another chance anyway. Migs has let a few soft goals in already and Loris looked decent last time he played in the cups.

I agree mate, this is a pretty big match for Karius to be dropped into, I really hope he seizes the opportunity with both hands and shows everyone what he is made of

After the match I hope with all my heart we are talking about what a selection choice from the manager and not a nervous clanger

This will be another 5-4, both managers have utter contempt for good solid defending.

Neutrals sit back and enjoy the ride.

Rumour Mignolet might leave with Napoli tabling a bid.

As for Karius hes quick enough to parade on social media with his fancy clothes and cars lets see if he can catch a ball and stop shots this afternoon which pays for it all.
