Southampton aren't so good going forward but good at defending (according to their stats). That would have been a problem in the past season or two but not this season where according to our stats we've scored 2 or more goals in all of our games except against Chelsea when we scored just one. Although Soton proved problematic for Man City, I don't think they will be for us.

As for our line-up, I'd play Tsimikas again for this one. He's in form and currently better going forward than Robbo and Robbo can use the rest too, but I doubt Klopp will start the Greek. Another position is at CB, we might start Konate but I think Matip will start again. The rest of the team picks itself, though there might be a shout about Ox starting in midfield but with Fab, Thiago and Hendo all fit he'll probably be on the bench.

This is my expected team:

                  Alisson

Trent     Matip    Virgil    Robbo

                 Fabinho
           Hendo      Thiago

      Salah     Jota      Mane

Think Konate and Tsimikas keep their places for this one with Matip and Robertson coming back in for Everton on Wednesday. Only other question is if Henderson comes in for Ox. Considering the Ox played most of the Porto game I'd guess the answer is yes.

We just need to make sure we back up last weeks convincing win against Arsenal with 3 points today, after receiving tons of praise for wiping the floor with United we ended up undoing all our good work by dropping silly points at home to Brighton, we can't afford to keep doing that not if we want to win the title anyway. Consistency wins titles, no matter how high the high's are a rollercoaster ride of high's and low's ain't going to get it done.
I don't care how we do it just win.

3-0 to the Red men.

Nice to see Hendo, Fab and Thiago line up together. Good balance of silk and steel.

This is Klopp's first choice midfield but they haven't played together much. Will be interesting to see how they do.

Fair play to Southampton for not sitting back and trying to play football, I honestly expected them to park the bus, but IMO they just played right into our hands.

Great result for us at half time, we should now probably aim to rest a few for the midweek game against Everton.

Can't comment on the performance as I'm only listening to it on the radio but this is a very good win against a team who drew against the likes of City, United and West Ham.

Good win, great result. Everton up next in midweek.

Stevie with his first win with Villa as well, away against Palace. Villa are playing City in midweek, wouldn't it be a treat if Stevie can take points off them :D

Second win, two on the trot.

Brighton and Palace are 2 decent teams as well, it's not as if Stevie beat Norwich and Newcastle. They've got City, Leicester and us coming up next though.
