I'll try to do a bit of a match synopsis in the future. :)

No worries AB.

Most of these old links are now of course no longer available. Which was to be expected. Feel free to update them with your own/other posters if you can. Im sure there'll be a better way than mine of maintaining clips that are able to be sustained longer than a couple of weeks. Bav can help you out with it, im sure you will sort it out between you.

Oct 20th EVERTON 1 LIVERPOOL 2

Liverpool take all 3 points with 2 second half penalties converted by Dirk Kuyt after a Sami Hypia og gives Everton a rather fortuitous 1st half lead at Goodison Park

Major talking points are a Tony Hibbert sending off a few minutes into the 2nd half after he brings Steven Gerrard down with a professional foul, referee Mark Clattenberg left with no choice but to award the spot kick, clinically dispatched by Kuyt

The Liverpool captian Gerrard is then somewhat surprisingly substituted, replaced by young Brazilian Lucus, who goes on to win the 90th minute penalty, when his shot is handled by Phil Neville on the line, who becomes the 2nd Everton player to see red, the resulting spot kick again slotted by the tireless Kuyt. Everton have a late penalty claim of there own turned away by referee Clattenberg, Carragher appearing to wrestle Everton fullback Julian Lescott to the ground but not withstanding a deserved 3 points from the red half of the city, and possibly the kickstart for the title challenge that the supporters have been waiting for

THE EIGHT WONDERS

Yossi Benayoun lit the fire as Liverpool set a Champions League record at Anfield last night.

The Israeli sparked the demolition job of Besiktas with a killer hat-trick and also set up two others as the Reds romped to a 8-0 victory and in doing so set a new European record for a record winning margin.

Peter Crouch had got them off to a fine start with a 19th-minute strike. He added another late on to again show his value to Rafael Benitez, whose rotation system is threatening to drive the striker out of the club. Ryan Babel (2) and Steven Gerrard also scored.

I know the focus is all on the back four for this weekend's game but just wanted to flag something up to you from the lovely people at The Sandon.

This Saturday, the cafe and restaurant opens at The Isla Gladstone Conservatory, beautifully restored in Stanley Park.

It's now the official LFC hospitality venue so is perfect for food and drink before or after the game. There is also matchday parking for limited spaces. It's just off Anfield Road so really easy to find.

Have a look at their website www.islagladstoneconservatory.co.uk for more info or just drop in while you're at Anfield this weekend.
