Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby drummerphil » Thu Feb 09, 2006 11:55 pm

I've just been on the Sky sports website and  on their main football page they have a question.......

Is Liverpools form a blip or a crisis........this is one of the replies...

"I think the wheels have well and truly fallen off. I used to support Fulham and changed to Liverpool as I was sick of losing every week! I guess that backfired! I haven't felt this down since half time in the Champions League Final. With a bit more effort from the boys I'm sure we can turn things around. If not I'll be dusting off my old Fulham shirt!"
Hank, Fulham

now i dont know about you but i find that a :censored: disgrace from a so called fickle fan.....

Its amazing how the media change their tune too......

First couple of months of the season  we are a joke and so undeserving to be European champions..

We go on a run win 10 games on the bounce and we are a title threat,2nd best team in the country and are looking like the real deal and great european champions....

We lose 3 games and draw one we are distinctly average will be lucky to finish in the top 4 .......

Its  not unlike some  people on here who change their opinions on the team and individual players every other day......

personally its all giving me a headache and i for one back Rafa 100 per cent.We cant run before we can walk........

This must be a fake. Created by the own media, media which has a manc as a boss. My team doesn't win always, but you cannot change that. And I'm sure that if harder times come to Liverpool, you lot won't change your club neither. You are true fans. And that quote is a fake.

I know it sounds harsh, but girlfriends come and go, the club stays.

No it's not. I'm not biased, I didn't know the media before joining this forum tbh. And it seems obvious to me, that they were always quite reluctant to admit our achievements. Only when a incredible winning streak came, they started to admit we are strong, and not wildly. But it just comes a blip and you see this bástards true nature.

Let's see if I get this. This means when you're in a cart and the wheels fall off and you have an accident? meaning a complete dissaster?

CL places at the moment, 7M profit in the accounts, savvy economy, Qualified to the second round of CL and favourites against Benfica, we're still in the FA cup, recent great streak of results, and 3 bloody matches lost and the wheels are off?

Feck off.

I think you are missing the point.

The target this year was to win the league, after such a good run in the European cup final last season. Even Carra/ Rafa and Stevie Said so at the start of the season.

People are just dispaointed hugely, when we are drawing / losing versus teams we should be easily putting away.

People should be allowed to criticise/ make comments if things are not going well.

Im betting the only reason you support LFC is because they were successful in the 80's.

But would you support someone like stockport county through thick and thin, even if they get pasted every week? ???

Liverpool FC is about winning, it is almost a tradition. Just like the guards at the tower of London.

And losing to teams lke Chelsea and Man Utd recently is far more than just football...it's about PRIDE!

Get it! ?

People who are angry and want to express it after we lose to such teams are expressing thier anger as they have pride!

PS. CAn I ask why people back Rafa 100% (apart from being and LFC fan) , when they dont know what the future will bring. we may never win  the league under Rafa. it could happen.

Over the next two weeks, we could be out of the race for second, out of the FA cup, and out of the CL , if we dont buck up our ideas.

Recently a Burnley F.C. supporter posted here. Although his team might be cráp he was happy because they have good youngsters that are promising for the first time in years. I think that his team might be of a lower category. But that supporter was a Champions League supporter.

You are not.

It's called loyalty to a manager in his second season after winning the CL in his first.

So what our last few games have not been the best, we are still developing under Rafa, we haven't had loads of money thrown at us, do you think Chelsea would be at the top if they didn't have the money thrown at them..No.

It took Fergie 5 seasons to get anywhere with Man U and he had to work hard to get there without a pocket Russian multi millionare helping him out, and also we do not have a multi millionaire helping us out thank god, Id rather do it of our own backs.

Yes, it is disappointing not being 100% challengers for the title but it's early days for our side under Rafa, it wont happen overnight and that is why we back Rafa 100%, it's just obvious he is the man to take us forward, and that includes hiccups along the way.

i think glory fans are good....they spend money on club merchandise and occasionally buy a ticket...then leave when bored.  It's all money in the end of the day

that is true....but at least we get a little more money by having the fair weather crowd.....although sometimes i'd gladly pay money to have some of the doom and gloom ones shut up! :D
