Ok, serious question which teams in the PL have, player for player, a better squad than ours?

What does it matter? It really means nothing because football is not played on paper. Last season there were plenty of teams[including us] that had/have a better squad than Everton, but they finished in the top four.

Im talking about teams that have better quality teams/squads that will allow them to finish higher than us on a consistent basis, ignoring one off's like Everton.

Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal if you are talking about a starting 11, full squads are pretty similar except Chelsea.

Arsenal aren't as strong as they were 2 seasons ago or even last season. There's something missing and it's not just not having Vieira.

Henry can't carry them through out the entire season.

In the last few years, if we only consider the premiership. Do you think the gap between ourselves and the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd has narrowed/widened and also has the gap between ourselves and teams such as Middlesborough, Tottenham (thats pack of teams that are behind us) etc narrowed/widened?

to be honest AB, i don't see why not - gerrard did it for us. they're pretty much the same in terms of being talismanic players and both often look like the most likely to score.

Chelsea - all round squad with quality and depth, way better than ours.  Player for player (with one exception would put Gerrard in their side)

Arsenal - Better first 11 than ours player for player (with exceptions Gerrard, Carragher, Reina, alonso) and can call upon youngsters of great potential and ability

Man United - hate to say it but their squad still and first 11 player for player (with exceptions Gerrard, alonso, Carragher ) is still better than ours

So it still looks like we are outside the top three!!

With reputation aside & based on current form taken into account, here are the following teams have a better squad than Liverpool.

Chelsea, Charlton, Tottenham, Wigan, Man U, Man C, Bolton, Ar5enal, West Ham, Blackburn R, Newcastle & Middlesbrough.

The reason why - they are all above Liverpool in the premiership table & they have fighting spirit & team belief. Something this squad is seriously lacking.

apart from the obvious ones CHELSEA ARSENAL MAN U none of the others have a better squad they might of made a better start but that does not make them better teams

Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Charlton, Bolton (minus Dioufy), Boro, Newcastle(even with Souness) & maybe almost nearly the scum. We looked like strangers in the league. At least these teams play like they know each other a little. Right now with the right manager e.g Wenger or Fergie spurs would give any club in europe a run for there money. YNWA

How can you have the audacity to put YNWA at the end of that bullsh!t statement. Have you ever heard the song??  You sound like you've thrown in the towel already.
