Only speculations as far as I know. Both him and Hendo will apparently receive new and improved contracts.

Give this guy the #9 jersey. He's earned it and it's currently being occupied by someone called Iago Aspas.

You were calling Sturridge a "bitch" a few months ago, what happened?  :glare:

Nah but seriously, I used to think he's a selfish player, who had a prima donna like attitude. Over a period of time however, I realized I was wrong to judge him on all the media hype about how he was this and that at City and Chelsea.

Listen everyone can get a player wrong, we are al guilty of it. The important thing is accepting that you may have been wrong. A trait that some on here are too stubborn to admit unfortunately

Thought Danny looked a bit tight today, like he could feel the pressure. He was almost trying to hard, hitting multiple shots as hard as he could, seeing them sail over the cross bar.

Or am I just in a hyper-paranoid, potential title-winning state?

Yeah, he was snatching at chances but to be fair to him it wasn't his type of game today, for the most part West Ham sat deep and in numbers so there wasn't a lot of space behind defenders to run into.
Plus his supply line wasn't great either, the players you'd normally expect to be the ones threading balls through to him pretty much had off days.

I think West Ham sucked all the flair out of the game as it was their only chance. They did the same to Chelsea and it is the " Big Sam" way. It was not easy for any flair player to play yesterday. I don't think any team we play will play the same so he will be back. I think he will have a point to prove against City and have a big game.

Thats how I saw it also. As soon as we retook the lead and West Ham had to deviate from their defensive strategic, the gaps opened up and our attacking play came together.

Hopefully so.

The point is for Sturridge to make that next step he needs to be able to influence games that are played like this. Especially in the champions league. Its no good having to carry a player through these type of games.

To be honest, I'd have withdrawn him against West Ham rather than Coutinho.
