Can't believe this.

He's made himself and the club a laughing stock.

CGGY, what's going on girl?  Have you heard anything yourself?  Leon, have you heard anything else?

Parry's full statement is available on the .tv site.

He says that it was all a misunderstanding, that Stevie thought the delay in LIverpool offering him a contract was a sign they wanted to sell him.

Parry says its nothing to do with the fan's hostile reaction and he apologised to Gerrard if Liverpool took him short.

An utterly farcical situation, and if Stevie stays means we;ll get more of the same nonsense, I'd prefer that he went, even if it was to Chelsea.

Stevie, if you want to stay, shut your gob and let your football do the talking from now on.  ???  ???  ???

I told JBG the other night he decided to stay, he will tell you, but I just think he could'nt make the move he didnt have the guts in the end, and he would just be another player anywhere else.
I hate him for what he's put us through again, but in his heart of hearts he must really love LFC deep down inside, and maybe scared of going into the unknown.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I totally gobsmacked over this whole espisode and i agree with J-Mac it has made us a laughing stock when all there should be is a elated confident glow from being Champions of Europe.
Well he is staying and hopefully this is at a end and he has had attitude transplant from Carra.
Though im still  unsure the damage this will do to the dressing room and boss player relationship
Guess i find out a first few games of the season

agree with CYGGY's post. But i still believe that the agent had a big role to play in trying to tempt Stevie away from Anfield.

Yeah his agent never pushed him around, but he did nothing to help the suituation, but now everything is all right, no harm no foul, right?

Mad how all of this happened last summer, isn't it?

Gerrard seems far happier now. I can't remember him whinging this season and all of his interviews with the media have been positive. Its beginning to filter down onto the pitch and he's having one of his best seasons yet at Liverpool.

The mere fact that Gerrard's unrest has disipated has also had a positive effect on the squad: one of the main reasons why we are better and more consistent this year.

Absolutely.

He realises he made the right decision, and knows LFC are heading back to the top.

Interestingly, he has scored more goals so far this season than in all of last season. (I know he scored 4 against TNS!)

Good times ahead for Club and Captain (We hope!).
