Hick's family are attending the service.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

My thoughts go out to all the families and friends of the victims of Hillsborough, and also to the whole Liverpool community who have been affected by this tragedy.
I regularly go to watch my team with my two boys, and I am fully aware that it could easily have been me or my lads.
RIP

All,

On behalf of the fans of Hibernian Football Club (Edinburgh), our thoughts and prayers are with all the families, friends, loved ones and fellow supporters of Liverpool Football Club and the victims of Hillsborough.  It is a day that has poignant significance every year and I can't imagine how difficult it must be for those of you who are closely linked with that fateful day.

I know several people who attended the game at Hillsborough and to this day are haunted by the events.

The service at Anfield was extremely moving and very personally focussed.

God bless you all,

Scott M

YNWA

Great service
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Justice For The 96

was interested so took a look.

nice messages of support there - and when one of the fellow mancs questions what do we mean by justice - they get answered in an imensly respectful and informative way. just like it should be.

red cafe forum - the hillsborough thread

Flowers of Merseyside by Mary M. Summer

Words alone cannot express the feelings deep inside
For families, friends and neighbours of those who died
At the Sheffield stadium on that awful April day
As they went to watch their beloved Liverpool play.

A football pitch of flowers, scarves, tears and grief,
As thousands paid their tributes in utter disbelief,
We cast off from the ferry ninety-five bouquets,
Mersey echoing our song, as the petals met the waves.

Condolences from round the world, in media and press
Mixed with those of friends and neighbours, feeling our distress.
We'll never forget those fallen, we'll remember them with pride
God took them and we don't know why, our flowers of Merseyside.

---------

R.I.P. the 96. my heart goes out to all who lost loved ones that day.

You couldnt of done anything Nanny , none of us could , there was plenty people who could of prevented it happening but didnt - its them that should be held accountable . those 96 just wanted to watch a game of football and follow their beloved Liverpool . What we can do now is make sure it is never forgotten - the 96 are never forgotten and Justice must be sort after .

We are Liverpool .

YNWA and the 96 will never walk alone while in our thoughts always

However, any respect I had for Nottingham Forest has well and truly gone tho :(
