Why oh tell me do your great knowledgeable one does that me Rafa, Lakes you are becoming obssesed with the man now, Have you even thought for one moment that he is fecked off with our owners or our chief snidey executive,
No of course it cant be them it deffo hs to be Rafa, he must of ate his mars bar.

well unlike you Torres understands that Rafa has been given the money over the years to build a better team than we have, Torres also see how ALONSO was treated by Rafa.

Torres looked unhappy more than a few times when coming off, there were also times that i feel that Torres must have felt that Rafa did not know what the best team was or on how to play some of the games.

Torres must also see the bust ups that have happend at the club, during the year we heard a lot about them, some say they never happend but now it seems they all did happen.....how do you think that makes him feel, he loves playing footbal, when he is picked in a team that he knows is not the best and there are better players sitting on the subs bench.

the key to all this is

For the moment I can assure fans that Fernando will continue at Liverpool next season

"For the moment I can assure fans that Fernando will continue at Liverpool next season"

this means that it could change next week.

yes i think there is truth in the reports that he said that if Rafa was here next year he would not be.

and that might still be the case.

All speculation and guesswork on your behalf regarding Torres . Absolute cr@P

I find it ironic when my fellow Liverpool fans 'play the media hates us' card and are quick to dismiss certain things as rumours and speculation. Yet, if SSN or any tabloid printed an article that the fans do like, it's considered good honest journalism.

Mate how can you assume that's what he is thinking. He said himself we need to bring in a few new quality players at the end of last season so do you not think he means that?

Before Rafa brought him to Liverpool he was a well known young striker but since he has become probably the best player in Europe in his position. I even read an interview in 442 where he said he owes Rafa a lot for helping him get where he is.

Sorry Lakes but you are way off on this one.. around 180 degrees off.

Torres refuses to commit

Torres' future has been the subject of some debate after a poor season for Liverpool in which they finished seventh in the table and failed to qualify for the Champions League. Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid have all been linked with the striker.

His agent, Jose Antonio Peton, appeared to settle the question of his client's future on Tuesday when telling a Spanish radio station, "For the moment, I can assure fans that Fernando will continue at Liverpool next season."

However, Torres would not endorse those comments in a press conference with his national team on Wednesday and said he was unaware that his agent had spoken to the media.

"I didn't read them," said Torres when questioned about his agent's comments. "The most important thing for me now is the World Cup. My future is the World Cup and then we'll see later.

"For now and hopefully for the next two months the only thing I am thinking about and talking about is the World Cup."

On a day when former Liverpool owner David Moores called on George Gillett and Tom Hicks to end their ownership of the club, Torres admitted that off-the-field issues were a concern.

"That is one of the ways we need to improve," Torres said. "I know the situation, I speak to the chief executive and Rafa every week and I am aware of what is going on. But because I am focusing on the World Cup I don't know what the situation is right now."

The striker is currently preparing for the World Cup finals in South Africa and is recovering from a knee operation that curtailed his impact for Liverpool at the conclusion of the season.

However, Torres is optimistic of being fit for Spain's World Cup campaign which begins with a fixture against Switzerland on June 16.

"I feel better," Torres said. "I have been training on my own for five weeks with just me and the fitness coach. Hopefully next week I'll be training with the rest of my team-mates. If all goes well I'll be in normal training on Monday.

I just read a very true comment on a web site about footballers in England.  The poster of this comment was Italian and he was basically saying that players playing in England are so unloyal compared to Del Piero who followed his club to Seria B, or Totti who could have done much better for himself, or Maldini etc. Even Kaka hardly wanted to leave Milan when they sucked.

Seems like everyone wants out of England at the moment.  Fabregas, Ronaldo last year, Mascherano and more and more players seem to be looking to get out of England.
