Add Dundee who was 2 mil plus Kvarne another mil , Ferri half a mil

So your statement was incorrect - Downing didn't cost more than them put together.

All of them were miles worse than Downing.

Reported?  i thought you didn't believe the press?

so i was 500k off, so what. The point remains that Downing is one of the most exspensive flops to wear the great shirt.  A point lost on you

Has Downing left Liverpool ?

Didn't think so - ill wait until he has done before judging how his transfer turned out as opposed to after his first season.

Ps - do your maths again

I think you were a bit more than half a mil out when you add all the other players into the equation. But you off course don't let correct facts get in the way of your point

Another disappointment ( no sorry shocking letdown ) was Kewell - perfect namesake for you

i couldn't give a $hit benny, because i'm not mental, like you.

My point remains, Downing is the most exspensive flop we've ever had, and your petty arguments over how much sean Dundee cost us ( )
do little to change that. Please do try and keep up

No goals, No assists.

The worst season by a player in PL history.

When you think of the ability that the player has, it makes it all the more frustrating. All of us who knew anything about the player knew he wasn't made of strong stuff... but the alarm bells really started for me when in an interview (think it was around Christmas) when he said he was overwhelmed being at the club and its expectation. There are players who thrive on the big stage, and then there are the Stewart Downings. I won't give up on him yet as i know there is a decent (not top) player in there who can contribute to a team that gets back in the top 4. The central midfield being so w**k doesnt help wide players as there isn't the support or interplay, so hopefully with a new signing to go alongside Lucas in the center, that will help the likes of Downing.

"The Worst Season by a Player in PL History"

Oh sweet Jesus - how the f*ck can you come up with a statement like that when we have had some absolute stinkers in the prem over the 20 odd years and not just our club.

FFS the lad has struggled this season but the hyperbole from some is hilarious.

Much as I hate to say this, she has got a point
She might be going over the top (women do that) but Downing has been sh'ite and instead of getting better as the season progressed he has steadily got worse. I called him the invisible man earlier in the season but he has become very visible due to his poor performances. Inept, lacklustre, little or no impact, passionless, useless. He could have been a hero but decided to play safe and just do enough to stay in the team. KK has to make a decision whether to let him coast again next season or to fu'ck him off and get someone who will play his heart out for the shirt

in fairness, the no assists is a bit of a smokescreen. i can count several times when players have either not gambled when he's put balls into the area or have missed sitters from his crosses. this doesn't excuse the fact that overall he's been poor though. he's as mentally weak as any player i've ever seen at this club.

i think i read that he's had 72 shots this season without scoring. the problem is, at his age he's not going to get any better and in the unlikely event that somebody else did want to but him (please happen), we'd be luck to get anywhere near half back of what we paid for him.

There's your reward!

Perform like Mr. Invincible throughout the season and you will get your chance on the big stage !

Didn't expect any less from Woy ...

In fairness to Hodgson who was he going to choose over Downing? Adam Johnson never plays for Citeh, Lennon cannot cross and neither can SWP.
