Good luck and I hope he enjoyed his time here.  He was a bit of a cult hero, good value! YNWA

Good luck Soto, you had some very good games with us.

I'm assuming they're getting him to replace Kjaer, and we must be going after another CB.

Best of luck.  always worked hard.  Didn't moan.  Optimistic this means we're bringing in Cahill.  Defence taking shape.  Would love Agger to stay fit all season though.  Think we'd really see a great centre back then and really benefit us.  Carra will play less games this year I think.

All the very best Soto. You gave nothing but 100% and I am sure you will do a job at Wolfsburg and good luck to you.

Good luck Soto. He did what he was signed to do, i.e. provide cover for the back. Caught out a few times last year due to lack of pace, but won't hold that against him. More importantly, Soto going means that we're close to signing another defender. Dann or Cahill? Even if we don't sign another defender, hopefully this means one of the younger lads will be moved up. I'd rather have an up-and-coming guy given the opportunity as cover rather than an old and ageing bloke anyway.

Hail the Greek, arrived in teh dark days of H&G, then Woy and did an admirable job.  Well done and thanks.

Ok, we can go back to 'beware of Greeks bearing gifts' again now.

Good news. His attitude was first class, and he gave us a goal threat we sorely lacked, but in the end he isn't the player we needed. Hope he gets plenty of games there.

Looking forward to seeing who we buy as a result!

Sotirios Kyrgiakos was on Monday on the verge of moving to the German side Wolfsburg on a free transfer. The Greek international was in Germany on Monday for a medical as Liverpool continue the clear out of their squad.

Sebastián Coates is who we are linked to today!

His stats:

Could be good, long term investment.

I would prefer Dann or Cahill though!
