He`s about as mobile as a dodgy asda trolly but he`s been doing the job.
If he keeps this up we could make a profit on him in the summer.

I wouldn't sell him, we could get a good 2 or 3 years out of him yet. He's playing the Hyypia role very well

You dont think we could get someone better?
I`d have Upson or a cheaper buy like Turner if it was offerd.
I like the guy dont get me wrong but I think we could do better if the money was there.

So because you dont think he`s worth anything you think we should keep him? And give him a game?
Also we wouldnt need alot to make a profit.

Im not talking about profit. Your talking about bringing in Turner or Upson, we'd need at least £5m and I don't think we'd be able to raise that kind of money. Based on form so far this season Soto has been better than them both anyway. He's settled in and we know he can put in a good shift, no point bringing in players who are playing in average teams.

Upson is 30 and he would cost the world  + he's overrated and i'm sure he doesn't want to be on the bench , i'd look into shawcross as a long term replacement for carragher

Upson would be a daft move, an injury waiting to happen and over-rated as you say so the fee would be silly, even a free would be risky given his injury history.

Why do we want to get years service out of Kyrgiakos ahead of our YOUTH STRUCTURE?!?!? Maybe we can't afford multimillions on young players like that Kjaer bloke, but why can't we bring through another Carra, Tanner, Ablett etc?

From what you guys have seen with Kyrgiakos in Liverpool he's an all star. It comes down to preconception. No one thinks he's good enough because he's greek and comes from the greek league. "he's not mobile"...how the do you know? granted hes not the most athletic guy on the pitch but he held a clean sheet every freaking game for you guys other than that 90 min goal that carra conceded vs stoke. He shits on upson. This guys is gold liverpool should keep him till hes 33 and then let him return and dominate the greek league.

Don't be so touchy mate , he's done fine when he's been in ,but he was bought as back up and that's what he'll be . He done well , be happy with that .

I dont mean to attack anyone, but I just dont understand your logic. Kyrgiakos came to liverpool as a backup CB, but he took an opportunity and made the best out of it. He helped turn Liverpool's season around. You guys have never seen a backup who who became a starter??? Why is it so hard to accept? If he had been playoing consecutive games and he was andthen went on a good run in January I wouldnat have anything to say. But he dominated in his first legitimate opporutinity with the team. So why dump him after a suspension? The only reason skrtel was decent in january is because the presence of kyrgiakos gave him confidence.
When he signed in late august I came on these boards and said that Soto would become a starter in Liverpool. Wtv rafa decides is ok but i dont understand teh supporter mentality. why cant you guys accept that he might be the real deal! he hasnt showed anything to make u think otheriwse. I will stop after this dont worrY.

He is a good back-up defender to have around Anfield and Kyrgiakos has done a sterling job whenever he has come in and needed to do a job. Just read an interview with Liverpool youngster Chris Mavinga who says the Greek defender offers a lot of tips and advice to young defenders at the club. Its great to read about players helping the kids like this and makes me ever more impressed by Kyrgiakos.

I think the best player (in terms of form, fitness, skill, passion and etc) should get on the starting line up and he has many of qualities that I've mentioned. Some  claimed that the reason the team has not been conceding as much is due to the fact that Carragher has moved to RB over Johnson. I disagree, it has to do with the Greek organizing a good defense when he was given the chance. I cant say if he has given the confident to the defenders but he did give the entire team some confidence back by protecting our goals.
