Ill think you will find he plays for Napoli now and as for the rest of your post i think Pepe was more than entitled to move on when he gave us years of loyal service after almost every other star player around him moved on.

I can't really make it up to be honest. With all the problems in our squad people are still looking to replace our vastly improved goalie. Sometimes I feel like I'm back in the playground where everybody thinks it's because of the goalie that we lost and not because the rest of us played like Sh*t.

First we should strengthen our midfield, then bring in a defence that can actually defend, and finally, if we're still not happy with our keeper (who'd probably look a lot better by then), we can start thinking about replacing him. At the moment however, Mignolet is in fact one of our better performers.

I'd go with this. 2 separate issues in it for me: form and ability. At some point, both seemed to be lacking with Mignolet. In the last few months however, his form has improved. Now, whether that is down to him improving his abilities (decision making in particular) or whether it's down to him gaining a bit of confidence I'm not quite sure. Regardless, replacing him shouldnt be 1st or 2nd in Klopp's list of priorities. The only issue is that the management might think that him/his position is one of the easiest to make changes in (his wages, reputation, wages of some of our midfielders, transfer fee and availability of highly rated GKs, transfer fee and January availability of some of our other targets, etc.)

The keeper will need to be a better shot stopper than MIgs. The only complaint on him now is his kicking. That can be worked on.

:nod agree 100%

To those that are whining about his kicking ability, yeah, distribution isn't his strongest trait but for fks sake get a grip !

Unrecognisable from the "nervous wreck" we saw earlier this year. His confidence has returned and the fella's recent performances have kept us in games we otherwise would have lost.

This is not a heat of the moment comment, because he has once again just ***** up and cost us a goal and the lead against WBA, he has done this to us countless times

I think it is time this guy is replaced, we need to replace him

New contract, please no Mr Klopp

A statistic i just picked up on german TV...

Simon Mignolet: No player has made more errors that have led directly to a goal in the last 3 PL seasons than Mignolet (8)

Mignolet doesn't need replacing, he needs stiff competition making him our no.2
The last thing we need is another Brad Friedel aka Clarke Kent to have left LFC books.

The lad is a superb shot stopper, one of the best I've ever seen, but I think the opposition actually use him as part of their game plan to beat us.

I'm compare him to Reina and it's such a downgrade.  Now Reina was also capable of a clanger. Difference is, he would win you plenty of points with the saves he would make. Don't think Mignolet is someone you look at think, yes this guy will win you more points than he will cost you

Five a side keeper and the lower division are chock full of great shot stoppers but the hardest work is commanding the area and decision making, two things Mignolet has problems with.

Not on about that incident but overall his distribution is also too slow, needs to get the ball out quicker as keepers can set the tempo and its important to release the ball quickly.

It would be interesting to know how posters prepared to fling Miggerz to the wolves would have prevented that goal with the lumbering frame of Benteke practically walking you into the goal with his back.  ??? Superb shot stopper whose kept us in games this season with some tremendous blocks and saves
one highlighted blunder that's led to a goal and he's back to being mentally inert.  :D

He is a brilliant shot stopper, but his mistakes are glaring. That corner was diabolical though. Absolute clanger.

See ya Ming. The defenders don't trust you, the fans don't trust you. He's had the jersey for years and nothings changed. The defence seems to be a lot more steady under Klopp but this guy has no presence about him. He's a mistake waiting to happen and at set pieces he falls apart

First job for Klopp - a new first team goalkeeper
