Guys does anyone know any truth in the bid for Simon Davies from Spurs, according to the paper today sun 25th Jan, it’s a replacement for Dietmar Hamann.
Or is this more paper talk... What do you guys think?
Simon Davies as a Red?
As I’m Welsh I think he'd be an exciting player for us.
But I’d still keep Dietmar Hamann.

Davies doesnt even stand out in an average spurs team.Id take carr or keane off them though.

I agree with greenred, i would rather see Keane at Anfield, i wouldn't even take Carr as i think we have a good player in Finnan who already occupies this place.

no harm in having two decent players fighting for the same position.Id love to see keane upfront with owen.Two tiny terrors with no end of skill between them.We could get in someone cheap like john hartson as back up when we needed a big man to shake things up.

Right ok, you all moan, including me, about all these Liverpool player's like Smicer, Diao and Biscan etc because they basically are not good enough for Liverpool, well in my opinion Simon Davies would be in the same catagory as them with the only difference being his nationality, he's just not the player we need. Liverpool need two or three big name player's, not a player of Davies quality.

greenred i also agree with you're last post, i just meant that comment in general. For the striker bit though i dont think we need another striker as we have Cisse coming and the one's we have now are capable of scoring with a bit of confidence.

Davies is a decent player - He can pass, tackle, dribble and isn't afraid to run at people. He wouldn't be a bad addition to the squad but he isn't worth the kind of money Tottenham would be asking.
