Sadio Mané has been taken to hospital for scans after injuring his shoulder in training earlier today, let's hope this is just a precaution and nothing too serious

The Echo are reporting the injury now too, doesn't look good :(

EDIT: he is back at Melwood in a sling and Daily Mail are stating it's a dislocated shoulder

3-4 Months out, if its a dislocated shoulder, would be a massive blow considering Mane is then likely to be off to the African Nations in January 2017. So he'd hardly feature for us until February time

EDIT: Mane reportedly drove away from Melwood once he'd returned from hospital. If true, this injury can't be as bad as some had feared.

I hope his not out for long. When things are seeming to go right we always get hit with shyte like this.
If his off for a while were screwed. We will also lose him in Jan for the african nations cup. Ffs!

If it's a dislocated shoulder then it's quite possible for him to drive. So long as the car has an auto gearbox (which judging from the pictures it is).

Could easily be out 3 months

Finger's crossed it's not dislocated.... Just to add, my wife had a dislocated shoulder (left one) and we have an automatic car and she was unable to drive at all, although perhaps she was saying that so I would have to taxi her everywhere  :kungfu:

Mane has only suffered a muscle injury and is set to miss one game according to Sky Sports.  Good news.

I hope the reports are correct and he's back in time for the Spurs game, we could certainly do with him being fit for that one.

Klopp on Mane: “It was a challenge between 2 players in the air and Sadio fell on his shoulder. It’s not that serious.”

Thanks for the heads up mate, I've never noticed that physio room thing before, looks a handy little gizmo.

No probs Yakka. Notice Mane is now listed for return Aug 20th.

Be interesting to see if that forecast is correct, hope it is but does seem a bit of a quick return considering how there were concerns over how serious it was and he was immediately taken off too hospital. Maybe our medics/physios were just being ultra cautious ?

Here we go again......

At this stage i'm just indifferent to all those "blows" as i'm not convinced we have positioned ourselves to fight for anything substantial this year...
