Reserves vs sunderland - Strong side

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby stmichael » Tue May 04, 2004 2:15 pm

Anthony Le Tallec and El-Hadji Diouf are amongst the star names in the Liverpool Reserve team to face Sunderland in their final game of the season at Chester City's Deva Stadium on Tuesday night.
Le Tallec and Diouf are joined by Neil Mellor, John Welsh, Bruno Cheyrou, Igor Biscan and Salif Diao in a strong looking Liverpool team.

However there is no place for Florent Sinama-Pongolle or Djimi Traore in the 11. Melwood youngsters Darren Potter and Michael Foley-Sheridan are on the bench but David Raven misses out.

Paul Harrison
Jon Otsemobor
Zak Whitbread
Carl Medjani
Igor Biscan
Salif Diao
Anthony Le Tallec
John Welsh
Neil Mellor
Bruno Cheyrou
El-Hadji Diouf

nice to see certain individuals back where they belong. it's a shame for some of the youngsters though, who have been ommitted for some of the bigger names.

Sorry to be the one to bring it up chiggz, but you were totally off the mark there. The lad scored a couple and had a good game.

Special mention Neil Mellor, hat trick and 10 in four or five games.

fair play neil mellor he's an excellent prospect ten goals in four games for reserves, i know its only reserves but 10 goals in 4 games in any competition is very good!
and haha chiggz, you pessimistic fool diouf scored twice, so your obviously one of the so called fans who like to slate players when theyre down! IN YOUR FACE :p

5-1. mellor 3 diouf 2.

the reason diouf scored twice is because he played UPFRONT. are you listening gerard houllier?
