Im talking of course about the .5 rating. Either make it 8 or 9, for christs sake. Or why not just go the whole hog and say 7 and 3/4  Its actually easier to round it up or down then it is to add a .5 to the bloody number.

Stress relieved....feeling much better...

It's not annoying, it's real numbers. Between 7 and 8 there are infinite real numbers.

It's not easier to round up. You have to add .5 or sub .5 and you have to decide.

Plus, it's less accurate.

So I disagree, it's not easier to round up, and it's worse because it's less accurate. I would be tempted to use 7.845 if there were less enemies of real numbers here   :no

(you're kidding right?  )

:D We could go for the schoolboy system instead of numbers we can have Poo, worse than poo, it was like watching neighbours, it was like having to go to school during the summer holidays, its like spending your 2 weeks off school having the squits (they would be the lower 5 scores), or go for the its like watching Daphne undress during an episode of neighbours, its like watching Ronny Rosenthal actually score against villa instead of hitting the bloody crossbar !, Dogtanian WASNT a girl, Ian Rush delivering your milk or King Kenny doing your mom !

A simpler system yet effective  :D

Agree SupitsJonf, takes only one to abuse but TWO to argue...................

Should do what I've done, ignore peewee after I made my point and delete PMs. Let it go, you've said your piece, I've said mine and I doubt either of us is seriously going to change their stance any time soon. I see the argument has even got to the point at which there is no point, when people start debating semantics, demanding "proof" and basically living in self-denial. Have a wild guess as to whether I'll read any responses to this, or indeed read any PMs..............................

BACK TO THE THREAD.............................

re ratings, why use 0.5 etc when you could simply use a 20 point rating system? Why stop there, why not use 1-100 or even 1-1,000,000? If you're going to use decimals why not use a scale of 0-1? Point being does it really f in matter?!? Even if you used just 0 and 1 there'd be bickering.

If you're referring to my comment about Kuyt's little experience with a woman the other week, I was J-O-K-I-N-G. Didn't think it needed spelling out, but then some on here do get personal and others paranoid so I guess I'm not that surprised when people take everything said as deadly serious.

If you think I would say something remotely personal about someone or their family in that way then you can't have been paying much attention in all the time I've been here.

No, it's Xabi's true name.

Just like Larry is short for Lawrence or something.

Xabi and Javier Mascherano's names are the same really! only Xabi's name is basque.
