Ping pong is back

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Sinama Pongolle has returned to training and might play tomorrow in the reserves against Everton.

The quicker he gets his form the better because he was in good form before getting injured in the Carling Cup. If there is anyone in our squad that could play on the right wing, it has to be Pongolle imo.

Looking forward to him playing once again.

thats a shame, i genuinely thought Ping Pong was back!  :sniffle  :D
on a serious note though. i believe pongolle wouldn't be any better than cisse is at right wing IMO.

I like this guy alot, I also think Rafa likes him too, against Olympiacos he was thrown into the deep end and really produced the goods. A real star of the future.

Good to hear this, he's got to be my favorite Houllier signing, for his attitude as much as anything else. His finishing might be a little off as yet, but he's certainly fun to watch. Him and Sissoko on the field together is an exciting prospect...even if they've both got some things to work on. As far as the right wing goes though, how's his crossing?

Im with u i thought the old Atari ping pong was back then  :D

Glad to see pongolle back, hes got plenty of ability and just when he looked like he was really comin on he suffered that nasty injury, never get sick of his turn against the gooners and Andy Gray says "Dont think Vieira should get back on until he buys a ticket!!"

Will be good to see pongolle back!I think hes gonna develop int a great player, the guys got bags of skill! I think once he matures a bit and puts on a bit more weight he wont get muscled off the ball so easy! Not too sure bout him playing on the right, would be great if Rafa put him there and he could do the job well!! Here's hoping!!

There's only two weeks left until the transfer window closes.  I hope that Rafa is getting close to signing a proper right-sided midfielder, not to mention a centre-back.
