A goal inside 50 seconds.  Fu*k me, what were you feeling back then?  You didn't think for one second that the next 90 minutes were going to be anything like what really happened.

It just all looked Pete Tong at that precise moment - all my dreams for the season, over.... :(

And then in the 2nd half... :)

That was horrible defending from our part, we allowed an old man to run in out of nowhere and score a goal.

sometimes mate football games are written in the stars and there`s f@ck all anyone could have done.
you could have had a back four of bobby moore, beckenbauer, baresi and ron yeats all in their prime with gordon banks in goal and he still would have scored.
the way the whole thing panned out especially with the olympiacos, juventus and whole chelsea/gerrard/carling cup thing and then going 3-0 down, well, to paraphrase a famous 1940`s middleweight champion called rocky graziano - someone up there likes us!

We've used enough zonal marking to know how to defend properly, that wasn't because of the system it was because of the players.

Luis Garcia didn't pay attention to Maldini's run in.

Sami just fouled Kaka on the edge of the box.  Cue a superb save from Jerzy.

Don't know how Sami didn't get booked after that foul but I'm glad that he didn't.
