I haven't spoken to SOS or HJC to firm up which dates they're looking to do something with the blimp, but in all probability I'd say that - money permitting - we're going to be looking to have at least 3 more flights for the blimp between now and the end of the season.

The dates we can potentially fly it are:
Sunday, 28 March 2010 - Liverpool v Sunderland, 16:00
Sunday, 11 April 2010 - Liverpool v Fulham, 15:00
Thursday, 15 April 2010 - Hillsborough anniversary
Saturday, 17 April 2010 - Liverpool v West Ham, 15:00
Saturday, 1 May 2010 - Liverpool v Chelsea, 15:00

As things stand, there's enough in the kitty to cover the next flight's helium. Beyond that though, we're short. We have roughly half what we need for the next but one flight, so if you want to see it up at more than one of these, do dig deep.

As some of you know, we're going to need a new, lighter main rope, and to help keep it steady in the air, we could do with two extra lines, one at each end of the land we've got reserved to fly it. I'll cover the cost of these myself, so for now it's the cost of helium we're looking for.

How much is need for a flight?

Roughly £200 per flight, although the price of helium is much like petrol in that it varies quite a bit.
