No gerrard against the saints

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Whos Rafa going to play with Gerrard and xabi injured?
The biscuit stunk the other night ffs, isnt our luck just great, he will have to pick someone from the youth but who? Or Hamman and Biscan?

A thigh injury could rule Steven Gerrard out of Liverpool's FA Barclays Premiership match at Southampton on Saturday.
The Reds skipper has been unable to train this week and is considered a major doubt by manager Rafael Benitez.

"He hasn't been able to train all week and he couldn?t have played against Burnley," says the boss.

"I will talk with the player but what I have to decide is if I were to play him he could miss the next three or four games. I don't want that to happen. I will only play him if he?s one hundred per cent fit."

Gerrard injured? ??? Damn that sucks if true.

Team

Carragher   Pelle    Hyppia   Traore (he cant stuff it up!!)

Garcia    Hamman    Riise

Baros  Morientes    Pongolle

Might opt for a 4-3-3 since Biscan is quite $*i*e at the moment and Diao (thank God) is on loan.
Could be an option.

If he hasnt trained all week theres noway he will play, plus risking him for 3 games if the injury gets worse.
Probably will be biscan and Hamman.

are any of our key players, with the exception of carragher, capable of playing five games on the trot without getting injured? :(

if gerrard is injured, it will have to be biscan and hamann because there is nobody else.

Given that he broke his leg not long ago too. What a legend. Should be our Captain.

please tell me Biscuit won't play? perhaps we could play a 4-1-2-1-2, i.e have a normal back 4, a defensive mid in Hamann, two wingers in Pongolle (Nunez is out also i believe) and Riise and a attacking midfeilder in Garcia playing off the tow strikers Baros and Morientes.

Pretty attacking i know but whu not take it to a lowly Soton side who are vulnerbale at the back. ???

the thing is lynds i can understand that players get injuries from time to time. what i can't understand though is that the injuries that the likes of garcia, kewell and baros have got this season haven't even been caused by challenges. they've been simple pulls, strains from running flat out. that should never happen. :(

Get rid of Donkey. Recall Stephen Warnock to play left back.

4-3-3 is not that bad formation, let's see how we go tomorrow against The Saints.

??? I read something yesterday which is a bit worrying that, Pelle is going to be our new captain :glare:
Rafa has promised him that he will be our new skipper soon, What about Jamie?
And Stevie wont be to pleased getting the armband taken from him unless he wont be there when this happens, But 33 our new captain?
I would give it to Jamie Carragher any day of the week
