58,000 capacity - great
developing anfield - great

overall design - blleeuurghh. its a fecking disproportionate monstrosity. and that ramp and platform thing?? hope thats just a first draft.

I quite like it tbh, and don't forget to get us up to 58,000 the Anny road has to be rebuilt as well so it won't look quite so out of proportion.

True...I think it'll slowly raise up like Sid James Park. It also has plenty of new corporate stuff, so will make us a bucket in cash

I was underwhelmed on first look but then again its more about the numbers inside than design and
certainly not the mother ship plans we had from the previous regime, its realistic.

It will be far superior than what we have now put it that way and not costing the earth so they will
be able to manage the costs and expectation on the field hopefully.

Even inside the stands needs huge refurbishment, changing areas and such, as absolutely decrepit
by modern standards and better facilities in non league.

The concourses are archaic and also need a revamp.

Good News that work is going to start early next year and be completed during the 16/17 season. The games will still be played in anfield during works.
Disappointing that capacity will only be increased by 8.500 but its better than nothing and will bring us up to 59 thousand aprox.  Should boost the atmosphere on match days no end  :nod

If it's going up to 59,000 then that's an increase of over 13,000. The 8,500 must be the first stage.

So credit where credit is due... The owners do have good intentions and they seem to be in it for the long haul, otherwise they wouldn't undertake this stadium expansion...

C'mon man. 114 million interest free loan?
It doesn't mean they are handing the club anything. All it means is that 114 million will be slapped on the tag of anyone wanting to buy the club.
I haven't changed my opinion about american owners. All they see is dollar signs, and nothing I have seen from any owners has changed my mind...
