Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

For all the good that the Moore’s family did for LFC David Moore’s agreeing to sell to H & G was a very ill advised move. It wasn’t as if it was difficult to establish exactly what the two of them were about with the appropriate due diligence. Money talks and Moore’s opted for that option.

If the figures are right Gomez, TAA and Mane should be all be earning significantly more , there's players in lower divisions earning more than Gomez and TAA !

Mane signed a new contract giving him £150k a week last year so I would suggest those figures aren’t correct

Also both TAA and Robbo signed new contracts putting them to 100k

Pretty sure all the first team squad (@15 core players?) are on minimum 100k a week. To suggest Gomez is on 28k is plain daft.

You are right on Alexander Arnold Reg:

https://lfcglobe.co.uk/trent-alexander- ... liverpool/

Gomez is on apparently $60k per week, while Mane is now on $150k per week.

The only one that looks odd is Allison on $90k per week. Looks low for the world's best keeper.

It's the financial reality of having such a superstar team and glad FSG are keeping up with market rates, to keep all of stars happy.

They are one of the owners in the entire league that invest the least. We were absolut garbage for 6 years as we had no one to make wine out of water. The owners weren't investing and did f all about the stadium for an eternity typical american style, all talk, no substance. Then after abject failure after abject failure they struck gold and got Klopp, one of few in the entire world who can make wine out of water, increasing the value of our squad making everyone forget that the owners still isn't investing in the club. The majority of the clubs in the Pl are investing more and that is WITH 2 CL final runs in the last 2 seasons that other clubs didn't have. Where did that money go? Not back into the club.
I'm over the moon that finally after 30 years that Klopp is taking the club back to the top. That does NOT absolve the garbage owners for what they are.

You have actually presented no facts or figures whatsoever. All your comments are based on conjecture. If you actually read the clubs accounts and then put an argument forward with fact and figures people might take you seriously.

Anyway, this is the thread on our captain who is on a wonderful run of form and is quite rightly receiving plenty of praise from long term admirers and detractors (and everyone in between).

It’s not facts at all

The owners have invested millions into the club - they have provided the managers with money to spend when needed and the manager and the team they put in place have spent well at times and poor at times - we broke the transfer record for a GK and a Defender. They have spent millions building up the new training facility.

Did f*ck all about the stadium ? Have you seen that big huge stand they have built and another they are planning ?

What does it matter what other clubs are doing - it’s not a competition on which club invests the most it’s winning on the pitch.

You are clueless

So we really have to go the kindergarten way do we?
How much money each club puts down on players is extremely easy to check out. It has been clearly reported that the club is spending less than (forget city and manure) Everton and Brighton during the owners entire tenure at the club.
Just disingenuous to even suggest that is not the case.
So the owners have invested have they? WHAT A JOKE!
They have made a ton of cash in the last couple of years from the CL. But I guess you need sources that clubs that go to the finals in the CL makes insane amounts of money.
WHERE IS THAT REINVESTMENT? it sure as hell isn't on players when Brighton has a higher net spend than us. Stadium? Oh, right the new stadium that never will be....
The club made over 250 MILLION in revenues from just competitions last season. Profits was over 125 million in 17/18. My guess is maybe even better last season.
I know where that money has gone and it sure isn't to the club...
