We've been finding it hard to attract quality players because of FSG, no CL football, messes need to be cleared from previous regime, etc etc. No quality players signed means mid table finish. The best finish we can achieve in this new campaign based what we've done in the transfer market  is 5th and most likely 6th or 7th. If we finish 8th or below, Henry, Werner, Ian Ayre and BR should all be hanged and later quartered.

The LS saga has sent a blunt and direct message to FSG that you cannot continue to sign kids and be a Work in progress team building for the future. If you do, your good players will want to get out. You must do your utmost  for top 4 finish this season, otherwise I can put my house to bet that LS will be gone next summer. Then what will FSG do? Sign more kids and harp on FFP and that we'll be all right in the future? I've had enough of their lies and BS.

Whilst EMOTIONALLY it is disappointing that we didn't sign Willan, maybe COMMERCIALLY it just wasn't justified. Spurs are clearly putting all their cards on the table and going for bust. Good luck to them, they're spending big and no doubt agreeing to massive salaries when the global economy continues to be in turmoil.

Remember, LFC are having to finance the stadium reconstruction. Being yanks they're probably put a wage cap in place. Spurs on the other hand are jizzing all over the place.

What is the connection between keeping Suarez and losing Willan? Surely Willan would have been a great boost in attaining CL next year so what went wrong, what was the deal killer or did he simply want to go back to his pal AVB?  I suggest we trust the club on this one, they know the importance of making top 4.

One other point: This is the first season the EPL is being beamed into the US on a game by game basis. They got the deal at a giveaway $250 million to get the audience on the hook. Given the potential sponsorship and additional tv rights potential it's VITAL that we establish ourselves in the minds of yanks as a top team. Hence Suarez HAD to stay. No choice. Our owners as fellow owners of the Boston Red Sox know the value of US sports sponsorship better than any, and will want to be in pole position to become the most heavily US promoted and sponsored team. Hence we have to win, we have to have the players able to achieve top 4.

So disappointing we didn't get Willan, but you could also say that Spurs panicked and bought him off our doorstep as Fulham did with that amercian lad last year.  In the end do we miss him? No.

Trust the owners, they see 2 prizes - CL qualification income and US sponsorship and it all revolves around them spending money. We have good scouts at last, they'll come up with the right lads don't worry.

They need to pull out a couple of big deals before 2nd September as fans are getting sick to death of being let down
when it looks like top players are coming in.

Last summer was a complete disaster rescued in part by Sturridge and Couthino in January, but again this summer has
seen us off load a lot of big earners yet only recruit Mignolet, Aspas, Alberto and Cissokho on a loan.

If you look at those 6 additions in 12 months, and the outgoings, all we have done is essence is bring in cheaper labour
and there is a big reliance on the young players making an impact like Sterling and Ibe.

If we really are ambitious about 4th that simply will not be enough, and if FSG are serious we need to see some proper
intent in the market and stop dithering and penny pinching on ever single negotiation.

No good them moaning about money wasted during the Comolli reign when they brought that dickhead into the club in
first place, that's on them not us and they need to put that right out of their own pockets, and as custodians of this great
club honour that commitment and stop running it like a second rate outfit.

they don't need to do anything if the results keep going our way. We put a run together over the next couple of weeks and they know Suarez is back too so why should they spend. Save it till January and then re look at where we are.

The squad is clearly not good enough to challenge for 4th - it requires quality before the end of the window and certainly not to wait until Jan

Yet you can't stop yourself commenting every single time

Currently you don't actually add anything to any thread - all you post now is whining moaning complaining posts - everyone else is just getting on with talking about the club. How about from now on shut the fu.ck up crying like a little bitch and start posting something that adds something to the thread.

Every sing time. Don't be such an utter di.ck  :help

You are a bit of a sad joke to be honest  I hardly ever bother with you because of your constant negativity.

What do you actually think you contribute? Just look at the amount of criticism you receive. You stupidly think you create debate. Trust me you don't. You are simply an argumentative troll and a very childish one at that. The Carling Cup thread you created is possibly your best work to date. Just spend a few minutes and go back over it.

Until next time....

i actually agree with him, we may have added some depth to the squad but i dont think we have significantly strengthened the starting XI.
with less than a fortnight to go we find ourselves scrambling around trying to bring in a player who will improve the first team when all this should have been done months ago.at the end of last season rodgers even spoke about doing our business early but here we are with the new season already underway trying to bring in our marquee signing.
we have moved out carragher, reina, carroll, downing, shelvey and spearing (not to mention suso, coady, robinson etc) and the only nailed on starter we have brought in is the keeper. thats not a good window imo.

In the same way that I agree with your stuff I also agree with some of the points made by BTN. It is the relentless negativity that I can't tolerate.
