My indictment of the rafa benitez regime

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I heard it first on radio 5 .

RAFA BENITEZ has again risked the wrath of Liverpool's American owners by blaming them for RUINING his team's title hopes.
The Anfield boss says their bid to replace him with Jurgen Klinsmann late last year de-stabilised the club and undermined all hopes of winning the Premier League.

Benitez, whose side take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge today, chose his words carefully — hardly surprising after receiving a rap from Tom Hicks and George Gillett for earlier outbursts.

But he said: "What is evident is that back at that time we were in a great position and the team was in shape to win many of the games which we eventually drew.

"So the entire process is what allowed the gap to open between us and the leaders.

"If I wanted, I have the perfect excuse.

The only solution I have is to try to bury myself in my work. And it is vital we win today to enable us to fight at least for that fourth-place spot."

That's hardly "hitting out" mate.

Thats what i heard too...rafa doesn't like his trusted men to associate with mourinho ever since mourinho admitted that moores spoke to him 1st before rafa...... (heard it from my source).

If its true...have to say rafa is one bitter dude......

So now, rather than relying on facts, mere hear-say and rumour can also be used to beat Rafa with? Rumour that is generated by the oh-so-Rafa-friendly media.

It gets better from you lot, it really does!

It's likely it wasn't just Rafa being bitter.

Pako was his right-hand man. He trained with the players, he knew their firness, he knew Rafa's tactics and gameplans. Hardly surprising that Rafa wasn't happy about him being friends with one of our biggest rivals.

He would be my choice.... King Kenny.

Mourinho and he's methods are just not what Liverpool Football Club IMHO.

If Dalglish was to take the job, I'd welcome him back with arms WIDE open..... and not in an advisory role.... give the man the reigns... he's done it before and there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that he'll do it again.

well considering neither of us say its fact, i use the words "i thought" and the rock uses the words "if its true" shows neither of us are sure, maybe you know more, maybe you know the actual facts since you are so quick to dismiss the popular belief about him leaving.

well?

I truly believe you wouldn't win a battle of wits with a fruit either judging by some of your posts!

It's obvious that Rafa wouldn't have allowed a years-old friendship and partnership end merely because Pako "had a laugh" with Moris.

I take it you missed the interview where Rafa tells us Pako became power-hungry?

I take it you ignored all the other quotes to the same effect?

Of course you did; better to beat Rafa at all costs, than to listen to truth.

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

If you can't understand my points, I strongly urge you to get yourself back to "college" and beg your English teacher to help you.

Because I think you'll find I was referring to the fact you and peewee ignored the facts to again have a pop at Rafa.

Simpleton.
