Dont be silly some of the so called fans on here will be very upset that he is injured along with Kewell. They will now have to find another Liverpool player to start slagging off

oh no,that's the main reason why i hate international matches.since Morientes is injured,i think Rafa will play Cisse(if he's fit enough) and Crouch together against Spurs.Come on,Reds.looking forward to the match.

Cant say I am to bothered really, I prefer Cisse and Crouch anyway, and if Morientes was fit for saturday against Spurs Cisse would have been on the bench, should have kept Baros also I am not to pleased about him being sold. Morientes needs a strike partner and we will probably play 1 upfront and fernando cant play upfront on his own which has been proven many times, also people saying he has to settle in etc etc, he's had nearly 9 months to settle in.

Its looks like it could be going the same way as last season all over again we'll be down to one striker again soon Mellor out and now Nando That leaves Cisse, Flo and Crouch who probably still isnt fully match fit.

are well at least Garcia is there and dare i say Harry Kewell cant be that far of either.

I hope Rafa plays Cisse now, if there is ever a good chance to let a player prove himself this is it. After the transfer speculation around Cisse, this could be a good opportunity to cement his place upfront.

Are you not aware that Cisse is also injured and is doubtful for France tonight?

Gabriel Egan of RTE sports was at France's training session last night and reports that Sylvan Wiltord was being used as though he might be the striker.

I hate internationals.

Incidentally on the original post why would any LFC supporter be happy that Morientes is injured?

Dont hold your breath mate, I can see Cisse gone in January and Dirk Kuijt being his replacement, if I had my way I would sell Morientes and keep Cisse and buy Kuijt but Im not in charge.

Sorry to see Morientes get injured it's the last thing he needed.  He badly needs a run of games to play himself into some form.

Concerned about Cisse too, France need him against Ireland and I think they'll start him despite him carrying a calf problem, hope it doesn't wreck him as well.

SSN are reporting Morientes to be out for around 7 weeks, Cisse and Crouch have to cement their places now, they wont get a better chance than this to do so.

Its a big blow Nando being injured already.
I also wouldnt have him in my first team at the moment, but i am not writing him off yet.
This injury may prevent him from the run of games where a couple of goals could change his confidence.
Internationals are b@llocks and i am gutted for him.
With Cisse carrying a knock as well, this is not a good start regarding injuries....lets hope we dont get left short like the end of last season again.
