3-0 up against Burton, which is good for us I feel had they have got beat tonight then we would have faced a major backlash.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Park Smith, Scholes, Giggs! What a midfield? ???? ???? ???? ????
We should totally dominate this part of the field!
I think Fletcher may play but even so can't compare.

Come on Red Men:)

no. we beat them in april 2004 at old trafford. 1-0 with a murphy penalty. we haven't beaten them in the last three though.

We've drawn two of those three though

On paper we are favourites but the games not played on paper  :D

Without Keane and Scholes United lack creativity and steel.

I fully expect LFC to dominate the midfield but when we played them at Anfield earlier in the season Smith actually had a decent game. However without Keane especially I can't see them bossing the middle of the park.

Gerard should stay at Right midfield and Alonso and possibly Hamann martial the centre.

Walk on ......

The pitch looked bad tonight very bad and that wont suit the likes of Alonso and Kewell but we will still do the job on Sunday, come on the red men  :eyebrow

The difference now is that Benitez is not opposed to using such tactics, but for the first time possibly since the advent of the Premiership, it's not the only option that we have. I'd fully expect us to go there and take the game to them. With our far superior midfield I expect us to dominate possession for long periods. It's just a case of taking our chances.

Got to disagree with you there st mick,no matter what you thought of Roy Evans and his teams, defensive was certainly not a critisism you could label them with, they played some of the best attacking football seen at anfield for a while, then and now. The only problem with that team was that it couldn't defend.Under GH you are right we went completely the opposite way.

i think you mean counter-attacking

Ill give a big thumbs up to anyone who gets the score right and the goalscorer(s).I may be copying xabi alonso when i say.If we can Stop rooney and horse face then we should be be comfortable.Cause lets face.the rest of manure are dirt.Poor midfield and even worse defence at the moment.Although i have to say i was well impressed with that rossi chap.Even if it was against burton he still looked like a bit of a prospect for the future.all we need is to get a few chances on goal and we WILL score. But if itts anything like the last man u match where they sit back and defend from the off.then were in for a boring match. But i think they will want to win as much as us so we should be in for a cracker.
And my prediction.3-1. crouch will score, kewell and sinama will come on and score.Who cares about manus scorer. It wont matter.when were 2 points ahead with to games at hand.
