Luis garcia - Good or ******?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Our number 10..

yeah he scored quite a lot of great goals for us last season.  a key player to our champion league triumph.

but imo he's not doing his job well apart from those goals.  as an attacking midfielder, he's unable to create much goal opportunities for the forwards.  he loses possession so easily.  he's doing meaningless fancy tricks when ended up in giving the ball away.

does anyone think maybe he's one of the major reasons why we cannot pass the ball around in the park and have some fluency and creativity in our game?

I think he's the one to be left on bench if one day we've got our wingers on both flanks....

I actually kind of agree with him, I don't think he's the sole purpose of us not passing fluently though.

But yeah, he's trying too many trick's and losing out when he has perfect opportunities to pass and move into better position's. He does play an awful lot of "hospital ball's" too, if he sort's out his passing I think he's a great player. I think his game as a whole is pretty good, he has two good feet and pretty good positional awearness, it's just his soft passing as I said above that he need's to sort out.

its interesting to note though that when sissoko came on the scene , i seem to remember reading something about 'once he improves in his passing skills he will be better'....well he has done just that IMO. its taking luis a bit longer???

there`s no doubt garcia waste`s too much possession and has the annoying habit of doing it just when a good move is on. he really needs to learn to play it simple and develop a sense of timing when to try the tricks, there`s a place for a backheel but not every two minutes.
what he does though is get ahead of the forwards and try to get into the box. when we play crouchy up front he is the only midfielder that gambles on his flick ons and until the rest of our midfield develop this instinct of bombing on we wont become a side that rattles up cricket scores.

Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark

Since when do I give a f@ck about you taking me serious or not? You have serious issues you need to go and see someone to control that temper of yours, you dont sound like the full shillin.

Yes he gives the ball away but it is undeniable that he is a quality player. He was of vital importance in the CL campaign last year and will most likely be this year again.

When he came to the club last year few people knew much about him but he impressed us all. He is just taking more time to fully adapt to the EPL but I have faith he will improve his passing and judgement to become an even better player.
REST IN PEACE PHIL!

Well Lynd's I said Garcia is a quality player with poor passing, and that's exactly what he is. No point hiding from it, but in regard's to your CL statement about him, what about Dudek? We wouldn't have won it without him and look at the slagging he take's! I don't see anyone jumping to his defense all the time.

I don't like critizing player's, but Luis need's a kick up the rear end to get his passing sorted, otherwise he's going to put one of his team mate's in Hospital with his slack passes. He also need's to stop fannying around with the ball when he doesn't need to.
