Oooh Lucas
You used to play like mucus
and brazilian you were not
and now you play like pele
well im only joking
cause your hair keeps you choking
I know you thought it drastic when
we said you were a spastic
cause you dribbled from
your mouth and not your feet.....................
what a treat
We know you have a problem
Its there for all to see
Alonso you are not
to stop this little rot?
Stay on the bench kiddo beside fu'ckin Babel if he is lucky enough to get on it!

Poem: Rap Style!

It's bold
To behave like a three year old
With a brain the size of a nat
You have every right to be a prat!
So Number 9 it's time to think
My songs really do stink!

Have to agree.

He's improving very slowly, as any young player would if the manager showed this much faith in them by starting them in almost every game.  But he's just not going to cut it.  There's nothing special about him.  On a good day he's average and I think that says it all really.

I am not a massive fan of Mascherano and I honestly don't think we need him in the majority of games. He has played a lot of games this season and look at how many goals we have leaked! If we are leaking goals and he doesn't ever score  - sorry two goals in 110 games and one of the goals was a deflection! - what do we need him for. Could Lucas do the job next to Aquilani? Sell Mascherano in January and buy a decent striker - only a thought as Torres is not going to be right without an operation.

Lucas just doesn't have it. Good for cover but shouldn't be starting. Rafa is just too stubborn to take him out. I really don't see anything in him that can make him a regular...We need someone that can dictate the tempo of the game and in command. Lucas had started so many games this season and for those that still hope he is someone special really need to be realistic. He tried his best and never question his effort but he simply just not good enough. Sell him in the summer and good riddance.

I think he is improving. He has been one of our most consistent players this season. If he cuts out the pointless giving free kicks away from his game he might just become a good player.
Oh and he needs some shooting practice

I didn't think he had a good game. In particular, there was a moment first half when they breezed past us down the right before Doyle won that free-kick on the edge of the box. Watch the build up to that and you'll see that Lucas has ample opportunity to at least impede one of the players (Jarvis possibly) and prevent the move from progressing. But he just ambled back, almost as if it wasn't his responsibility to intervene. The next Wolves player does Johnson and then taps it to Doyle who wanders into a pocked to receive; and we have a problem on our hands. It's a classic example of how teams have been able to progress a move without enough of a challenge by one of our players, and it stems from the midfield.

I've been criticising him a lot in the last games, but today I have to admit, and I do it happily, that he improved.

Plays better alongside someone with creativity, Alonso, Gerrard, Aquilani but I am not impressed with him alongside Masch and we havent missed Masch the last two games either.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Man of the match for me

Not for me, Reina saved us twice of converting this happy night in a nightmare night. Torres saved us once.

I don't think he was good at all, still the same Lucas we see everygame, pretty average and OK, but not influential
