He actually has a higher save percentage than Migs. And by some distance!

If he doesn't, well first thing we do in the summer is buy a GK.

Yep that's right. Migs has proven over a sustained period of time be isn't the answer. Give Karius the rest of the season the claim the jersey and if he doesn't then we have buy a new number 1.

In all honesty his part in the first goal was overstated and unsurprisingly by that big nosed Manc who had a public falling out with Karius last year.

Still it went right through him, he should not get beaten near post. A good goalie would have saved it.

I think any keeper would be disappointed with not saving it but it wasn't the clanger that most people have made out. It's been blown out of proportion. Truth is that Ederson put in a far worse performance than Karius yesterday.

He seems to be rooted to the spot quite a lot. You watch his body when the ball is struck, he watches it pass him. He doesn't ever seem to raise his arms to attempt a save. It's although he's beaten before it hits the net. City's 3rd goal for example. It was hit OK but he just stood there and never moved.

Don't see anything that warrent him first place over Migs..He has better foot work but is a weaker shot stopper..At this stage I don't understand why Ward isn't getting a chance.

I think he made a few here fella ,I suppose he had to really to avert Southampton from running up a cricket score  ???

A few here,I personally like the way he closes down on rushing strikers and makes the goal smaller and himself big  , rather than waiting on his line mimicking a f*cking ewok  ???

Oh and a few when he was the second most highly rated keeper in the Bundesliga

Give us a shout if you need anymore ,or if you cant suppress the need to make another ridiculously myopic post  :D

Appreciate the reply RBG and I've probably been a little harsh on him given his performance against City, however I stand by the fact that I have no confidence in him whatsoever between the sticks. Karius seems capable of letting solid matter pass through him, which is a feat in itself.

Like it or not mate he's our No.1 now ,that being the case he's well and truly going to be in the firing line in the next few games, but until those games and time as our first choice custodian has elapsed we can at least proffer the lad a wee bit of support and who knows maybe a run of games with so much onus on him will prove the catalyst for an upswing in form and his huge swathe of dissenters being quelled sufficiently enough to let the lad have a decent stint between the sticks.

Of course he isn't too blame but you got to admit he has too many of those ball gazing moments..I don't know if another keeper would have stopped the ball..Reacted differently ,i do know he can't.

Agreed.

He isn't a great goalkeeper, but he's marginally better than Mignolet. Not by much though..
