Liverpool vs fulham - Who dares to predict the result?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby stmichael » Fri Apr 16, 2004 4:25 pm

after that load of garbage we produced on monday i'm not exactly confident of getting a win over fulham. they're just as inconsistent as us so anything could happen. confidence is very low so it is time for the players to respond. hopefully baros will be back in for heskey or all three will play. we might as well go for it.

it's also a massive game which we must win due to the fact that villa play newcastle and birmingham play charlton. the potential is there for them to take points off each other. i'll go for a 2-1 win (owen 2) which probably means we'll get beat.

This is  agame we should win, but like you I'm not confident. it depends which two teams turn up  - both very inconsistent but the pressures on us not them. With Charlton looking dangerous we could end up 7th this season - then houlllier would have to go.

After the game against Charlton I'm not too confident, Fulham are a great side, I'm going for 3-1, if Gerrard plays, if not 5-0.

I think we will beat Fulham 3 -1 with owen getting a hat-trick.
It might save GH from losing his job but I'd still want the Reds to win anyway.

A win for Liverpool.

The odds are (at paddypower) :
Liverpool to win 8-13 draw 5-2 and fulham to win 9-2

and at Ladbrokes:
Liverpool win 1/2  draw 5/1 fulham win  12/5

so we're favorites to win.

I'm confident we'll get the 3 points.

First goalscorer :
OWEN  7/2
BAROS  4/1
HESKEY 7/1
KEWELL  7/1
GERRARD 8/1
HAYLES  10/1
JOHN 10/1
McBRIDE 10/1
BOA MORTE 12/1
MELBRANQUE 12/1
DIOUF 14/1
etc. etc.

First goalscorer will be Heskey if he starts.
If Heskey doesnt start then Baros.
Owen will score though.

That Collins John guy looks dangerous, a star of the future me thnks. I think we can beat Fulham 2-1, the lads will be disappointed with the result against Charlton and will not want to lose 2 on the trot at Anfield.

i don't dare to make prediction after the charlton game. Fulham just lost to blackburn. Who knows they might come out with all guns blazing.

But a scarppy 1-0 will do for me... Got to agree with GH on 1 point. At this stage of the season its the points that count not the performance.

We have had such a ludicrous season I believe the only plausible result is 3-1 to Liverpool. Just when you think we've turned a corner, for better or worse, we turn another fvckin' corner and end up back at square 1. Charlatan fans are rubbing their "glorious double" in our faces. Maybe you'd like to remind them how truly sh1t they are - if so, let me know and I'll point you towards a couple :;):

I hope we beat them, should be giving them a hiding really.

houllier thinks we will beat them seventeen - zero and be crowned European Champions after the game.

I agree with LFC-1 what he said about Collins John, he looked impressive and ever so sharp, he is the man to watch at Anfield, I believe.

I am not confident about Liverpool's performance at the moment, I have to be positivie for Liverpool and us fans' sake too. It will be fantastic for Liverpool to win but let's hope so for us fans.

COME ON LIVERPOOL!
