Well I just got back in from the match after battling through the rain :D

I'm very pleased with the result today. Fulham set out the stalls like pompey did, they were playing for a draw and once we scored, it was al over and they fell apart.

1st half wasn't too bad, we created chances and were unlucky at times. Bellamy was chasing things down as usual and worked really really hard throughout the game and had a shot saved but never looked like scoring.

I think Pennant was much better today, it was probably his best performance in a Liverpool shirt. He got some very decent crosses in and got down the line trying to beat the full back. He's still not fully up to scratch but he's improving. The last thing he needs is to have the fans on his back permanently, we need to get behind him. I think he'll take confidence from this game. He got a few cheers off the crowd. The lad can't shoot for toffee though  :D

Luis Garcia had a typical Luis Garcia game, he wasn't involved that much and when he was he gave the ball away but he did have a few good headed chances and typically popped up with a quality goal. Unfotunately he doesn't give alot of defensive cover for Riise and Riise was often caught out of position by the Fulham right winger. I've been disappointed in his last two recent performances (defensively that is). Going forward I like him and he gets good crosses in and obviously he's got a hell of a shot when he catches it right.

Stevie and Xabi were quite quiet, often staying deep. But in the second half Gerrard pushed on and we troubled Fulham more. This happened probably because Fulham lost Papa Bouba Diop through injury early in the 2nd half and he had controlled the middle of the park tbh. Not letting either Stevie or Xabi have any time on the ball. Gerrard was a bit lucky with the penalty in the end but I think we deserve a bit of luck after all the times we have hit the post etc this season.

Agger and Carra were sound as usual. I'm well chuffed for Carra after his first goal in about 8 years, great finish. He deserves that goal, he's superb. Awful celebration though :D

Special mention to Pepe Reina today, over the last few weeks he's made some quality saves and today was no different. The save from McBride in the 1st half was top class and then he made a diving save in the second aswell. He's had some stick earlier in the season but I think now he should get the credit he deserves.

Then to round everything off, a good Gonzalez free-kick into the bottom corner of the net.

2 games and 4 goals in each of them. Not bad at all. This will get our goal difference up and we will now hopefully keep building on performances like this and go on a long unbeaten run.

WELL DONE LADS  :buttrock

Go figure that we put in a quality attacking shift on a day when I had to settle for the most rubbish feed in the history of the internet: could barely make out the ball.  Nonetheless, the red blobs I was watching were moving about with purpose and, with a lot of squinting, I could tell that the last three goals were sheer quality.  Nice one, Carra--finally broke his duck this season!   Great to see Gonzo curl one in as well...the lad needs a confidence boost after coming back from an untimely injury.  The Pennant blob looked reasonably good as well.  I would love to see home get on the scoresheet soon.  A goal would be a real shot in the arm for the lad.

Feck me, if we could play Fulham (or Newcastle) at home every week, I'd be thrilled!  Onward and upward for the mighty Reds! :buttrock

I'm well happy!

4 goals should boost our goal difference a bit and hopefully this can be the start of a long winning streak.

yep mate, hardly any. It's sad really. There were more scarves in anny road than the kop.

I was quite proud today of anny road until there were a few nearer to the fulham fans that started to do the eas-eh chant after we scored the 3rd goal.

But generally there was alot of noise coming out of anny road. I sit in the main stand you see and the main stand was louder than usual aswell.
