It's knee jerk reactions like this that make me look back to a year ago how things were. Get a fkn grip Ace.

Got that right.  The amount of being spouted about Henderson is incredible.  But we always need a scapegoat around here.  Henderson didn't perform any more poorly than Kuyt, Adam or Downing yesterday.

A week ago people were saying Kenny was reaping the rewards despite paying over the odds for the likes of Henderson, Downing ect... 1 bad result and all of a sudden the shoe is on the other foot?

Nothing knee jerk about it, its the same reservations I had before we even signed him. Its not even about the results, his general play doesnt suggest hes ready to be playing at this level and it seems obvious to me that quite a few cant see past his price tag when coming up with an opinion about him...

And for what its worth, the next time you want to argue something you might as well include something worth discussing rather than the good old 'get a grip' and 'blasphemy' craap...

Its also boring as fck getting back to the whole look back at how bad things were a year ago as if its some sort of benchmark. I thought signing Kenny and backing him up with over 100mill was to get us to improve significantly on our results of the last couple of years. I expect us to do better and if you think different then theres little to argue...

On the whole im quite happy with how we have been playing this season Ace and im sure Henderson will settle. We just need to give him time. I get the impression that people just need something to whinge about on here to fill the void so naturally pick a scapegoat. It's obviously not going to be the manager and Lucas has moved on from the player he used to be do it's over to Henderson. Admit it.

I always blame the refs. As the saying goes, you dont sh!t on your own doorstep ! By scapegoating your own players, thats what you are doing.

how the f#ck is he any more detrimental to the team than the likes of carragher who is becoming a joke now? not to mention adam who was equally as bad if not worse than henderson.

suarez missed a couple of sitters which was "detrimental to the team". lets drop him aswell shall we?

honestly some of our "support" these days is an embarrassment. the guy has played 4 competitive games for us and already people are on his back.

i'm not casting any judgment on our new signing until Christmas...and we've had mixed performances from most of our team over the last 4 games.

Lets give them a chance, eh?

This kind of support is the standard though. Look at Roy Hodgsons reign. The guy wasnt given a chance. Those who didnt like him in charge didnt support the club, they just wanted him out. And every player he signed, they also were not welcome. The Lucas scapegoat thing was dropped when Roy signed his own players. By all means, say it was down to  Lucas' form improving but we all know, a bunch of other scapegoats were their for the taking.

Like I said, its the kind of support we expect today. Its very rare you see somebody sticking up for the club totally and without exception.

Wasn't given a chance? We were in the bottom three playing the worst football i've seen in 20 years as a liverpool fan. Why does a guy need to be "given a chance" if he was so obviously out of his depth? Not just the signings but the utter ignorance and inability to understand what this club is about. His press conferences were an embarassment. If he was the manager this week and was asked about Carroll do you for one minute think that he'd have stuck up for Andy in the way that Kenny did? Not a chance.

And don't you dare say that those against Roy didn't support the club. I went to every home game which Chelsea aside became a chore rather than a privilege. I also went away to Birmingham, Bolton and Newcastle, spending an absolute fortune in the process to watch three abject displays.

Rather than turn this into a R versus R debate, my point will stand. There is always a scapegoat. For you it was the manager, for others its individual players, its never the collective.

Interesting point earlier about the possibility of moving him inside more centrally. I know he played there a few times for Sunderland but my mate who's a season ticket holder there and goes home and away says all his best games for them came on the right of midfield. He's got a great engine and can cross a mean ball.

Certainly playing Adam and Henderson together puts an extra onus on Lucas' defensive game as neither of the aforementioned are ever going to track back and put their foot in. However I would like to see him in there alongside Lucas for a few games to see how he does with Gerrard slightly advanced of them in a three when he comes back. It's certainly something that can be worked on. I think sometimes people forget he's 20 years old.

Had a herd of cows been allowed to graze at the Britannia Stadium for a couple of hours before the game,then I suspect young Hendo would have played with his usual composure .I have also been led to believe that Henderson is quite an effective passer of the ball, and Liverpool under the expert tutelage of Dalglish would be an ideal place for this to continue and flourish . 4 games people, 4games

Needs to be loaned out to a mid-table side where he can play under considerably less pressure and get some experience. Hes yet to show anything to suggest he'd make a top player one day and his presence in the starting 11 is doing our chances of a top4 spot no favors. Hes not that young or inexperienced for it to be consistently brought up as an excuse for him, and if hes a player for the future then thats precisely when he should be played.

yet another game where he was pretty much a passenger until he got subbed. Its past the stage where we can keep giving him chance after chance hoping he could miraculously transform into a top wide player overnight. We have better options, and to be perfectly honest its about time we started looking past his price tag.

Its going to be the new player (high price tag) manager syndrome with hendo. Like many other manager when they buy a player they will just use hik on the pitch to see if he somehow responds to the critics. Kenny is doing the same thing with hendo.
