i might be wrong -and hopefully so, as it's too early, but my first impression on his first match is that he's too soft and just mediocre

he's better than Josomi and thats good enough for me for now.  Will make a proer judgment in the summer.

Bottom line is he looks better than Josemi, and as - strictly speaking - he's competing for a place with Finnan, we've got the position tied up and it hasn't cost us any money.

Definitely looks a great bit of business to me at the moment.

Better than josemi i might say. Let him play for a few games, i bet he's going to impress us all.
Anyway, agree with most of u guys, not that good at defending. Only time will tell.

i would have swapped josemi for a odd sock on ebay!!

can't say i am blown away by him . the diving was shocking but give the lad a chance.

i think finnan is safe at rb for now. but pressure for places is one way making sure players don't relax  nice one rafa

lets face it jan kromkamp had a good first game but it was only against pompy. in my oppion he does look a better footballer them josemi but it is still early days. hopefully he can push he unsung hero steve finnan hardto get in the 1st team. also i would like to say hoe well agger played in his 1st game a couple of shacky moments but overall a good performance. and finally good luck and all the best for the reds tomorrow.

doesnt look that good yet but its too early to judge him - except to say we offloaded Josemi and got in a Dutch international FOR NO FEE! What more could you want?

I know the lad has only played one game but I thought he looked quite good and he passed well under pressure, although I haven't seen enough of his defending and he got in the way of Alonso for the Ferdinand goal last week, I guess the lad is also still getting used to the zonal marking.

My opinion is, he's not that much greater to what we have already,, but if he was a straight swap for Josemi, Rafa will not end up with egg on his face if he turns out to be a Pellegriono/ Nunez type player.

My personal opinion of him- Competant at best, not "Awe inspiring" and not a touch on finnan. He's decent and I respect the fact that Rafa signed him to rest other players.
