Is alan smith a future lfc - player ? - And what about henry camara ?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

and now they are straight back down. Anyway,

with Cisse's arrival we need no more strikers for now provided Owen signs on.
Alan Smith would be a prospect - I like the way he has passion and fights for the cause, some of our players could learn from him, on the other hand he has a poor disciplianry record and his goal scoring record ain't flash either.

Henri Camara, no way, he's similar to Diouf in striker abilities as his finishing is poor, I know Camara scored a good goal agianst the bluenoses but he has missed so many chances this season. Besides we have Baros and Sinama to back up Owen and Cisse and Mellor is one for the future (10goals in last 4 reserve games, fantastic)

witht the leeds thing, i bet if u walked through leeds when they said they were gonna sign ferdinand for whatever no one complained, they were riding high adn they all mucked up. Ridsdale is to blame, but not half as much as the players

why does everyone keep talking up alan smith? yes he is a fighter (literally) and his work rate is phenomenal. but so is heskey's. they both have very similar goalscoring records though which tells you that it's not enough.

Liverpool needs players who can give %100 ...So Smith can be a right answer..

But...You still have Owen, Baros, Heskey and Cisse is coming...Do LFC really need Alan?..

yeah but every player should give 100%. it's called being a professional footballer. working hard is a must for any player. scoring goals is what matters.

you're right but only a few players work hard on the pitch..

smith is one of them...but lfc don't have to get him...

Smith is just not my idea of a Liverpool striker as his scoring record is very poor.He has been sent off nearly as many times as the legendary vinnie jones and he is only mid 20's.
If we are gonna buy somebody from leeds it should be Milner as he looks like a real prospect and could be snapped up for peanuts.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

Dont think the question of if Smith is good enough applies, after all, Henry would have struggled in that s##t team this season.

The queestion is if he would play with the same passion else where after all, he loves leeds. full stop .

yes but the big difference is that Alan Smith wont go down like a bag of sh##e when he gets tackled by anyone, then stay down for twenty minutes before limping around the pitch for the rest of the game.

SMITH - true grit

HESKEY - pussy

And you have to remember when on about his Scoring record that hes played most of last season and half of this season in Midfeild.

Only Stevie can touch him when it comes to passion on the pitch
