I think is time to buy a center back as well!!!
Everybody says that we need a striker but nobody speaks for the mess in our defence!!!!!
Sami is very very slow.
I think he can play good only as a sweeper!!!!
He losts very often players like Roben,Ronaldo,Duff, when they attack from the centre!!!!
I think that we must play 3-5-2 with Sami last player.
Or we have to buy a faster defender(dellas,king)

sami`s doing alright, you take away his ariel dominance and then you will really see what a shaky defence is.
sami has sorted out our traditional achilles heel without the help of a keeper that comes for crosses.
with traore, whitbread and the likes of raven coming through its not a priority right now.

Iy is my friend it is.Sami was a great player but now he is very very slow one.With 4-4-2 or 4-3-2-1 formation he cant play very well.
He can play better only as a sweeper.Behind the two centrebacks.

You lot were linked with that Portuguese international, Jorge Andrade not too long ago. He's a central defender I think.

at the risk of repeating myself we are not at the time of writing shipping goals left right and centre
evertons defence is one of the slowest and in fact when their slowest centre half is out injured against tottenham they fall to pieces.
pace is a asset to a centre half but organisation and communication are even more important, teams defend not individuals.
however, sami is the wrong side of thirty and will eventually have to be replaced but we know what we get with sami,
i`m not prepared to drop him for some unknown quantity forienger on a free or nominal fee, if we bought ledley king or john terry then maybe yes.
by the way i bet he wouldnt be far behind john terry in a sprint, no ones moaning about him, but he`s slow (especially for a young lad)
most of the goals we have conceded this season can be blamed on the keepers in my opinion, not the centre halfs.

Dellas isnt a wery good player at all. I think eweryone thinks that he is a good player cause Greece has won EURO 2004, just because that. AS ROMA's defence is not as good as ours, so i think Hyppia, our captain, must be in Liverpool and we dont need Dellas. IMO, we just need forwards.

You dont need pace if youve got positioning,Sami is no slower now than he was two seasons ago the season we had the best defense in the Prem yes he was paired with Hencho's then but he's not exactly Lightning .Your center halfs dont need pace when u have a someone sat in front breaking the play up they look at that player in our case Didi or SG and they position themselves of that player.If they are playing against Henry or Anelka who are really quick they leave themselves a couple of yards of him towards the place they expect him to run at then when the forward is in full belt the tackle comes in ither resulting in a great tackle or a free kick its very rare the forward gets clean through on goal.Admitedly it happens but how often have you seen it happen to Sami compared to other teams?
