Heskey is a great player, in a cr@ppy kind of way! But Houllier is a greater manager, in a cr@ppy kind of way! Like some of the earlier postings, I totally agree that Houllier is magnificent in turning decent players into planks and he had 5 years of honeymoon to do it, and how he has produced so many planks. Lucky for us, Liverpool have some world class players, but given Houllier's past records, he will turn the Owens, Gerrards and Kewells into ordinary players but not planks (if he is given enough time) because they are great players to begin with...
Let's get rid of this "Plank Master" and perhaps even Heskey will improve...
