All the very best to him.

The facts remain however, if he was good enough we would have kept him.

Too few goals
from too few games
and he fell over too often.

How did a guy so big and physically imposing, fall over so often?

Have a blinder in Portugal tho' PLEASE!!

I never ever forgave him after the miss in the last minute of the Liverpool vs Manchester United game at Anfield this season.  He can go now as far as i'm concerned.

It is sad to see him go, I respect him as player and I never forget him as brilliant player in Treble Season, he was outstanding on that time.

So, I wish him a very best of luck at Birmingham, I believe he will do a great job for Blues too. Best of luck, Emile!

I agree Paul C!

I also think being a bigger fish in a smaller pond will help his confidence!

Good bye and good luck Emile

everyone knows that heskey can be an awesome player on his day. unfortunately those days are few and far between. i mean you saw him against brum where he was awesome, whereas on saturday he looked as though he'd never kicked a ball in his life before. i'm sorry but the guy has tried and failed. good luck at brum though emile. you know he'll come back to haunt us.

I agree, i saw Heskey play away at Chelsea and he was outstanding!  Yet the next 4 games he was a shawdow of the player that we saw at Stamford bridge, so all i say is good luck, thanks for the good games and i'm sure he'll do well :;):

After the treble season though we didn't see it enough.

Shame, because if he'd played like he did during the treble season we wouldn't never have needed another striker.

He's had his chance and not done enough i'm affraid. I'm thankful for the part he played in the cup treble, without him it wouldn't have been possible and i'm thankfull for some of the games where he has shown his ability.

Just hope to god he doesn't come back to haunt us as we all know he will.

Thank you Emile, goodbye and good luck.

Perfectly summed up Stu, I will personally be sad to see him go..... :(

Just a thought,we're all moaning about Heskey . We paid £11 mill for him and although he hasn't lived up to his early promise he has been a good signing for us bearing in mind we are looking at a £6 mill refund when we sell him. Compare that with Wiltord at Arsenal. They paid £11 million for him four years ago and are releasing him on a free (BBC radio this morning ) . Maybe Foolier and heskey haven't been so bad after all.  :)

I couldn't believe it when they interviewed GH on city after the match, GH said "it would have been nice for Emile to get a goal with it maybe being his last game at the club"

I couldn't believe it when I heard that and all the presenters were shocked too.

he was a good purchase but its time to move on and get better quality than what we've already got which is what i believe we are doing in getting cisse, kewell and finnan last summer were also examples to this but injuries hampered both of them but i believe those two will be brilliant for liverpool next season as they both have long summer breaks!

BTW so does cisse he is suspended for euro2004 which is great news for liverpool  think
