Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Let's not get into transfer wants and needs - let's just put the season to bed with a round of applause and thanks to the guys that gave us a final worthy of the competition.

Some of those players will leave, many won't. All that's for another thread.

Another great European run. Thanks guys. Just that pesky final hurdle thing. :D

yeah people dont worry about the bitters, there actions are the things fans of from small clubs do.

we where unlucky tonight, all the talk before the game was how many goals this great milan side which destroyed manure where going to beat us by, yes they did beat us but they never outplayed us, a fluke goal and a second on the break, it happens

Well done milan, well done liverpool, two of europes greatest clubs the sportmanship at the end showed the respect each side has for eachother and how much milan new they had been in a game.

For me the only winners were 20.000 people with scarfs singing "You'll never walk alone" at the end of the match....

You've the best supporters in the world and you should be proud of that.
And you should also be proud of your players... fighting hard and fairly.... not like fuc*ing cheaters as Inzaghi and Gattuso.

Hope your team will win everything next season

Congrats from Parma.

Proud to be a Red - tonight in defeat we have gained the greatest of respect tonight the rest of Europe, the Mancs and Chelsea and AC Milan know that the REDS are truly on the up a force to be reckoned with - get us a quality /class striker Rafa and we'll be challenging for this again and the league.

A class side looked so ordinary - Mancs take note

Soooo Proud ! we are on the up !!!

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard said his side would come back stronger next season after their 2-1 defeat by AC Milan in the Champions League final.

"We can be proud of ourselves. We've done so well getting to the final and I know we'll play in another one of these finals," said Gerrard.

"We've got to pick ourselves up, have a good rest in the summer and then go again next season.

"We're going places, there's no getting away from that."

This is the game in a nutshell for me.  We played well on the night but failed to punish their mistakes whereas they punished ours.  That's football.

Da.mn proud of the lads regardless of the result and I applaud them all for their dignity in defeat.  Once again the traveling support was immense as well and the atmosphere the traveling Kop generated was magical once again.  We'll be back.  Walk on!  :buttrock
