Head = yes
Heart = no
Football is a simple game, all you have to do is pass the ball to a player in a red shirt.

We should never give up until its mathematically impossible. If you don't aim for the best you'll never achieve it.

Would Man UTD and Ferguson give up in the same circumstances (they had almost as bad a start last season as Liverpool this year)?

The answer: no way.

It's not that we're 13 points behind Arsenal as much as we're 11 points behind three clubs who are all looking at least as good as us if not stronger. It isn't mathematically beyond us yet but we would have to have an extraordinary turnaround to pick up the necessary points

17 points from 12 games so far

60 points or so from 26 games to come (give or take)

Are we really going to go from current form to that kind of form?!?!?!?!

we need three teams to completely collapse while we win every match in the next three months.
weve blown it already.

While we should never give up realistically we can only afford (at worst) to lose one more game and win about 19 matches from the next 26. Even then we would hope that the big three will drop a few points.

The big three will definitely drop points as none of them has had a bad stage yet, but given the competition among them this year I doubt we'll see the winners losing more than 5 matches...it could even be 4.

Also, could you realistically see Houllier's Liverpool picking up another 60 points this season?
