Macca cost us nothing as he came through the ranks just like Owen and it wasn't ALL Macca's fault when he left.

Remember how Liverpool tried to sell him to Barcalona only for the catalans to use him to attract the player they REALLY wanted. Liverpool were as is often the case these days not very astute in the transfer market and thats being kind !!!!

Owen is staying next season but LFc need to handle him carefully and not force the issue until it becomes untennable.

Owens got what he wants, 4th and therefore CL and a commitment to buy quality players this summer

Actually I heard about 20 minutes ago on Eurosportsnews that Owen said he hasn't concluded negotiations with Liverpool over his contract and is still considering moving abroad next season
