In my opinion it is too late for an apology, and if they did apologize it would only to make themselves look good and sell more papers probably.
Nothing like that should have been printed in the first place and a half hearted apology nearly 20 years later would mean nothing frankly.

Also I feel this boycott and what the Sun done in 89 isnt well known as it should be, I was only 12 at the time and didnt know much about it until a few years later. People should forward this and post to as many as possible.

I never have bought the scum and i never will - I'd sooner beleive what i read in Viz than that rag. the footy coverage is also and totally inaccurate - An apology from that lot - It would count for nothing and would be purely based on greed i.e more sales than any genuine remorse - Just how low can u get!

This rag is one of the most disgusting papers that exixts.  Long before they lied about Liverpool fans, they lied to their staff, they lied then sacked them and moved location leaving hundreds on the dole.  In the last month they printed lies about an accident in Co. Donegal.  A elderly man had taken his wife to visit the roadside scene of where her friend had been killed in an accident.  Sadly the woman also was killed while laying flowers. It seems almost funny if it was'nt so sad.  Anyway what does the sun print next day.  'Husband mows wife down at friends vigil'  Absolute lies.  You see heres the problem.  The s*n has very little by way of newspaper print staff, its all controlled by computer.  They run stories without ever being aware of the full facts. Why? because its owned by a greedy little snivelling toe rag who pretends to care about people.  He courts the Bush administration and using his FOX network, lies to the American people.  Lies about weapons of mass destruction, lies about liberals taking over America, pretends to be a right wing christian and at the same time floods his sky network with pay per veiw porn channels.  He beamed christian dogma into the peoples republic of china but soon pulled the plug on that when the chinese give him a franchise for all satellite coverage in China.  He doesent care about anything but money.  Ruppert Murdock doesent care about anything except power.  He is so arogant with it that he'snow saying that he might supprt the tories in the next election.  So whats Blairs response going to be to that.  More tax incentives, a peerage, or just the continuation of a licence to print lie after lie.  I hate this paper not only because it poured distress on liverpool football clubs saddest hours, not because it indirectly influenced the deaths of countless young soldiers, and innocent Iraq's, not because it lies to sell papers.  I hate it because it is the worst of all media.  An arrogant self serving hate mongering, racist, jingoistic pile of .  It flies in the face of all the freedoms that millions of young men gave their lives for, an lie in foreign graves.  Lies stop the truth being told and as a consequence they destroy freedom[U][B]

Its a fu.ckin gutter rag and i cant believe that some shops in liverpool still sell the piece of sh.it. My local newsagent in litherland was owned by some lad  who was a liverpool "supporter" who knew his stuff and he was sellin the s*n  so i said to him dont be selling the s*n and he says why? what a fu.ckin tw@t, so i said to him remember the sh.ite they spouted and now he must have been about 16 odd when it happened and i was abar 1. few weeks later i was in the shop and the kunt was readin it. Disgrace.
Now i had nothing against him and hes since fu.cked off and left his shop, he was a sound fella but how the fu.ck if your a liverpool supporter who was old enough to understand what went on, read that pile of filth and think its ok.

Hello fellow reds. This is the first message i am posting on this forum,but when i saw the title i knew this was definitely the best way to get going. I can vividly remeber the hilsborough disaster and one of my close family friends was directly affected by the tradgedy, ever since my whole family has actively boycotted the sun even my dad who is an everton fan. First i would like give a big thumbs up to leon for making this matter an ongoing campaign for all true liverpool fans. secondly i used towork in bars through my universitycourse in derby and whenever the sun was bought in with all the papers in the morning i would replace the 34 pence it cost in tothe tilland would throw it in the bin. after a while, it was no longer purchased. i call upon every liverpool fan with an ounce of dignity to do whatever you can in order to educate the rest of the nation and put the sun out of business. As it's my first day on here, I've been spending some time getting to know the forum and what it can do for us. On the subject of 15/04/89, my thoughts are with the families and friends of the 96 always and those who carry on the fight for justice.
As far as the S*n goes, the really frightening thing about this.... Can't bring myself to call it a newspaper, is the millions of people who gladly hand over money each day to read the that they dish out. I could go on for ages about how and why the Country's goin' down the pan but it makes you wonder doesn't it.....?

What sort of sick would buy the Son. (I know i spelt it wrong but can't bring my self to spell it correctlly.) After what they said about the fans, how cany any human being, not just our fans, but any human being actually buy it. I have never bought the Son and never will. It's such a disgraceful paper I wouldn't wipe my a.r.s.e on it.
