his finish reminded me so much of Owens winner in the 2001 cup final against Arsenal

Yeah im still in favour of cisse staying here, ive always had faith in his ability, he is a talented player. Every week he either doesnt play, comes on in 80th minute or plays on the right wing, how is he supposed to show what he can do. We should at least give him a good chance to show us his talents.

The more Cisse's and Crouch's situation is discussed, the more it becomes apparent that the arrival of a specialist right winger and backup centre back will fix a lot of the 'problems' we have.  With Kronkamp (sp?) arriving we could see a JAR type player on the right who will remove the need to put either Cisse or Gerard out there and allow us to play everybody in their best positions. All I can say is "Watch out Chelski!"

The impression Rafa has given is, he might listen to offers for Cisse...only if they match what we paid!  Sorry to repeat myself here, but it's also what i've said all along too.  Rafa don't need to sell Cisse, mainly because he's a useful player to have.  And i for one am glad he's not selling him now (before the world cup) for half of what we paid.

I dunno, because when we get a rw that will mean that Gerrard will be pushed back into the centre to play off Crouch and someone will have to go....

Rubbish... "someone has to go" - it's called having more options....

after watching the interview with ciss i think the lad is determind to stay and fight for a place in the team,he's well p!ssed off with his brother and seems very happy at the club, obviously he wants to play all the time, but he seems to accept rafa's rotational policy,he wants to make it impossable for rafa not to play him by playing well and scoring goals,it was a very enlightening interview and the lad came across very well imho

Gerrard apart, Cisse offers the only genuine speed to the team, I hope he stays.

I am sure Rafa is going to be very busy this January, he knows that prices are gonna sky rocket after both the African and World Cup, once players have put themselves in the shop window.

Im glad that both parties have finally come out and said this as the speculation is just a complete nuisance to the club.

I must admit slating Cisse's attitude in the past but since the World Club tourney he's come back a different player.
It looks like Rafa's finally got a grip on Djibrill and the team moralle is sky high at the moment.
I'd like to see Cisse and Crouchey play more as their pairing seems to be working at last.

It would be a foolish to sell anyone like Cisse before the world cup.  I've always been sure that he would stay until the summer.....however, if he has a really good World Cup, then we might be tempted if we get a big offer.

But to do a good World Cup, he have to play before!  so he must not play only like a good sub with the red's, he really have to play to go in Germany! A loan to Marseille is better for him! and he should get more chances to go the WCup...and increase is value for Liverpool. :idea

I fail to see how us loaning one of our important players out is good for us??  ???   Not only do we lose an important player, we also don't get the money to replace him either!  As Rafa said, "Marseille have spoken a lot about Cisse, but they haven't spoken to us about him"

I personally don't think Marseille have the money to buy him (not the money we want which will be 10+ million) and i doubt he will be going there anytime soon.

i guess loaning him out would have its slight advantages for us and it would be a very good thing for the player but there would be too many disadvantages of loaning him out, we would be missing a very important player and would have no one to take his place

A series of important moves might be underway :
1. Benfica have just signed Laurent Robert
2. So Simao might be on his way to Liverppol
3. So Cisse might be on his way to Marseille.

So far only statement 1 has become an undisputable fact.
The other two are just mere suppositions, but could become reality pretty soon.
How about that, guys?
