I'll get right to the point, Carragher imo should be captain while Gerrard is away. Carragher plays with his heart and has characteristics of a good leader, he has worked hard in these past few games. Hyypia isn't the captain he once was so I think Carra is a better option.

Who do you think should be captain?

i started an identical thread to this a couple of weeks back saying exactly the same thing. infact even when gerrard was fit, i still questioned whether he should be captain or not and some people laughed me off here. carra is clearly the most vocal player in the side and this makes him a good candidate to be captain in gerrard's absence.

Thats strange, I actually think Carra should be dropped, but Im not surprised these comments coming from the Die hard brigade.

He's a good, but not great player. It wouldnt surprise me if he got replaced in the January transfer window. henchoz got dropped for no apparent reason and I rate him better than CArra as a defender. he puts in good tackles etc. plus carra gets skinned a fair bit.

In the past I've slated Carragher (about 3/4 years ago) but since coming back from injury last season he has improved soooooo much, for me he didn't get forward enough and link up with wingers but last season when he came back he was linking with Kewell and even shooting on goal

I like the way he openly says he always wants to play for LFC, he is a true red and should be a captin!!
