Damn right we will have to do. I thought the days of us trying to sign second rate players yet win things were over. Fair enough if the right player comes along who can give us something like we had with Gary Mac, Jari ect....

Well Ciggy, I didn't know Rafa wanted him. The truth is he failed in Chelsea, he failed back in Valencia, and then he isn't shining either when he has returned his first club Athletic Bilbao.

I think Crespo might be a risk considering he's 32 years old. But he's still much better striker than Kuyt or Voronin. He is already proven in the Premier League and he's still one of the best finishers around. He could also be a good teacher for Torres and Babel. I wouldn't mind seeing him here for a year or two.

this! We were promised funds and now we are not allowed to strenghen in January.

Not good enough, questions need to be asked I fear.

Yet again we are being left out in the cold, this is why we havnt won the prem in so long because we are run by idiots.

The papers say we aren't allowed to strengthen yet the club have made statements denying this.

Remember the summer? Stories all across the papers that Rafa had nothing to spend yet we bought Torres (£20m), Lucas (£8m), Babel, (£11.5m), Benayoun (£5m) and so on.

How about waiting until we actually see the spending (or lack of it) in January before slagging the owners off?
