I really detest the notion that there are actually some Liverpool supporters who actually want that greasy b@stard at our club. I wish it would stop.

They are all great managers whereas Rafa isn't, well not in the league anyway.

so if tmr fergie were to take over us would u support him? i would. once ur in liverpool, ur a red regardless of ur past. and if glory is what he is gonna bring us then the very least he deserves support. however my fave manager, always had and always will be, is jose mourinho. he has the wit, charisma, style and personality to gel a team. some of you guys have said he bought a team of champions and won the league but it didnt happen overnight. there needs to be a system of play. all of us are matured enough to know having the best players or some of the best players in the world can only bring you so far. otherwise milan would have won the ECL in 2005 too. i think he deserves credit for harmonizing the team and getting them to gel. if rafa were to leave id love to see jose come in.

Becos rafa is way much better than pellegrini.

I won't hold it against rafa if he did move to barca...seriously. I am sure he would bring barcelona to the top of la liga....

Rafa will be awesome in a slower and more tactical la-liga ....

why do i detect a sense of joy in that statment ? :D

Another reason to get the Yankie.tw@ts out and DIC in.

Reg, if DIC come in then I think they will get rid of Rafa.

why is that?

I would say because they can afford either Riikard or Mourinho...

but why do u think rafa isnt as good as the above 2?

beacuse of rotation

idiot

Coming from you?

All you do is bang on about a few youth players you heard about on a computer game, you're completely clueless and never post anything other than :censored: kissing rubbish.

Good arguement by the way as well, well though out. :no

The happy clapping rose tinted rafalution league can only manage simple sentences, otherwise they run out of any coherent argument or abuse.  :D

BTW Nanny I didn't mean any disrespect I was just wanting your opinion on how highly you rated Rafa compared to other great LFC managers, well done for completely dodging the question.

Personally I never have and never will support failure and that is what Rafa has been in the league, struggling for 4th place with Everton is not good enough for LFC!!

no mate its just when somebody says players of the likes i mentioned are poor at best you dont need an argument against statements like that because they are idiotic

My first post on here. Rafa for Barca, this would be a great day for Liverpool if Jose was to come in as his replacement. Rafa will never win the premier league title with Liverpool. His transfer dealings are poor, he has not made us into contenders despite spending over £170 million. His tactics are very poor against premiership opposition and he has a record of played 10 won 0 drawn 0 lost 10 scoring one against the top 3 away from home.

The man is no genius is he? Couldn't anybody boast a record similar to that :(

Rafa is a good coach but conducts himself like a spoilt child when it comes to transfer funds and his public dealings with the owners. The new owners have provided him with as much money as anybody this summer and this despite the fact that they do not even speak!

I am braced for the diehard responses! :p

It's an interesting first post mate and a brave one. I feel sure that somebody will rightly point out that he hasn't actually spent a NET $170 million because he has sold some players as well. Also it's fair to say we weren't very good when he arrived so he was starting well behind the eight ball in the league.

Many people have problems with certain aspects of rafa's methodology, but I would think that the majority of fans (I might be wrong here but it's my impression anyway) are still broadly supportive of what he's trying to do. I think the recent drastic reduction in rotation and meddling with the team has won many waverers over to the idea of him being given another season, and even die hard anti rotationists like myself are more than a little curious to see how we'd go in the league under Rafa if we actually gave ourselves a chance.

The unpalettable truth though is that we are sufficiently far behind the top teams in the league to make winning it next season regardless of who is the manager extremely unlikely, and probably bordering on impossible I would think. Winning the league seems to be like climbing Mount Everest in that you need to set up base camp and then plot your way up. Arsenal aren't going to win it this year either, and they may end up finishing closer to us than they are to Man Utd but I still think they've had a taste, launched a challenge and are therefore possibilities for next season.

This for me is the biggest disappointment of this season. Not that we haven't won it, or come cose to winning it, but that we haven't challenged. Even if we challenged up until Christmas and then fell away it'd be something, but we were absolutely never ever in it which is a shame. If as seems likely Rafa does get another go, i think it is absolutely imperative next season thatwe get in amongst it. There must be no more excuses, bad refereeing, injuries, bad luck, missed chances, "aggregate wins" :D or any of that old b0ll0cks. The truth is that if we don't get anywhere near next season, not only is it time to get rid but it would also mean it was a grave mistake to not have got rid this close season.

It was meant as a General statement.

I'd expect him to pull a couple of good signings out, Reina was a great signing, Alonso very good and Mascherano very good.

Also Torres, even though the huge fee was an immense signing, but the likes of Kuyt, Voronin, Bellamy, Babel, Skrtel, Aurelio, Pellegrino, Nunez and all the money wasted on these "youngsters" is a joke.

He's wasted far to much on junk.
